Obama - it's just the mood of the nation right now, I think.

I think we will see another VERY close race....just hope it does not drag on like the one a few years back!!! I have no idea which one will win though!
Posted by: sharron | June 18, 2008 at 06:56 AM
I think Obama will win.
take care,
Dawn

I think the wolf in sheep's clothing will win. In case you wonder who I mean, It is not McCain.
Interesting question Beverly!
Love always, SJV

Oh, Wow...just my kind of question. It is no secret that I AM REPUBLICAN AND......
I am SCARED TO DEATH that Obama will win it...
So, to answer your question...I WANT the other but I think Obama will win it.

Beverly,
I don't know, but I think it is going to be a very close race! I think McCain may come out on top, but only by a very small amount!
Thanks for your comment to my post! The answer is BROWN!
Have a GREAT day!

Hi Beverly, I do love your question blogs! And today's is no exception!....I think Barack is charismatic, charming & is probably a very nice man. However, for me, his ideas are far too liberal!!!!!!!!! I am a Republican & at first was not that thrilled with McCain....but as time has gone on I do have to admit I DO agree with most of his views...I'll admit, I am not the most conservative Republican, so he is starting to grow on me!!...To answer your question though...I hope I'm wrong, but I think Barack is going to win....but I will do everything I can to NOT have that happen!...Great question!....Heidi :)

I truly don't know and would not even want to venture a "guess", sweetpea. I just pray for my/our country every single day.

Hi. I would really of liked to seen Hillary win. But since it is between these two I guess I am going for Obama. I hear so many people talk about how they believe Obama will be assinated within a year because of his race. But, I am going to vote for him regardless of his race because I believe McCain will just repeat President Bush- he's republican- well both of them are- so that tells you right there. Whatever happens with the election I hope that one of them can help turn the country around. The biggest concern is gas prices which we all know. Here in Kentucky gas prices are $ 4.15 a gallon and I hear it's suppose to be up to $6 by the end of the summer. How are people going to afford to go to work? It's crazy. Well, I think I have complained enough for now Have a good day! xo Daisy~

Hi Beverly,
I'm sure you could guess that I am a Republican considering my dad. I don't necessarily believe that Obama will win like so many other people. I think we have heard a lot more about him recently because he and Hillary were still going against each other. Maybe that's just wishful thinking because I can't stand to think of a person with such liberal views becoming president. I guess we will find out soon enough. Have a good day!

Obama in a close race.
Posted by: Susan Ramey Cleveland | June 18, 2008 at 11:58 AM
I don't know who will win. Seems that Obama is getting lots of attention from the press, etc. But there is a HUGE silent majority in this country. I just pray that all of us will end up with the right choice. We need a strong leader!
Posted by: diane | June 18, 2008 at 12:27 PM
I don't really know who would be the best... but unfortunately I think Obama will win.
Posted by: Vanessa | June 18, 2008 at 01:04 PM
I don't have ANY confidence in either one to tell you the truth. But I think Obama will win. Everyone seems to be hung up on CHANGE. They will get a CHANGE ALRIGHT! If anyone on here liked Ross Perot, he has a brand new web site. If you want I will give you the web addie if you want to email me or you could probably google it. Pray for this country, I have a feeling we are in for a ROUGH ride.

Are you accepting comments from foreigners on this issue? It definitely sounds like Obama has the hype going right now. After all the hoopla of the primaries, I had a nephew who was amazed that it was just the beginning of the presidential race. He figured Obama defeated Clinton...therefore was now Mr. President. We like our electoral process to be short and sweet in Canada.

Your nephew says "Obama!"

Obama

Oh my goodness! I am sticking my neck out and saying Obama. Only because I fear for where we will be if McCain continues the mess that Bush has made.

Honestly, I don't know. Anything can happen in politics so what looks clear now can be very different in November. I think a lot will depend on the vice president candidates that are chosen, and how both political campaigns will be run. Hopefully who ever wins will help our country pull itself out of the doldrums it has sunk into.

Oh, my goodness, Beverly....I am beginning to be afraid of the next question you ask ! Hahaha...just kiddin'

Mmmm- too close to call, but we sure are praying hard!

If Obama wins and it's highly likely that he will, I may have to move home! The thought of this liberal with very little political experience trying to run the greatest country in the world, is terrifying. McCain is a good man I believe, a bit old for the job perhaps, but trustworthy. If he ages as well as his amazing mama we won't have anything to be concerned about.
The entire presidential election process in this country is incomprehensible, takes far too long, and spends far too much money which should be put to better use! I waited a long time to get American citizenship, looked forward to be able to vote - now I wonder why I bothered.
OK my dear - no more political stuff - let's get back to gardening and decorating, please!!!!

As much as I want McCain to win, I think this is Obama's year. He is representing the change that a lot of Americans think they need. Unfortunately haha... fingers crossed that the Republicans can pull through once again though!!! :) And I am so glad you are going on "vacation" with us! xo!

I'm not declaring my vote here, but I am guessing that Obama will be the leader in the race here.

McCain ...

Lord.... I hate talking politics... unless someone shares my views LOL I don't know who will win, but I know that I'm happy Hilary didn't make it. She scares me to death.

if mc cain wins i am moving my family to canada, unless he decides he wants war there too. he's a bush in wolf's clothing. hopefully bush doesn't love him enough to teach him to rig an election, as he appears to be quite the expert at that.
I'M AN OBAMA MAMA!!!
Posted by: britt | June 19, 2008 at 09:52 AM
haha liberal appears to be a dirty word in your comments. (<---- me rolling in the mud)
Posted by: britt | June 19, 2008 at 09:57 AM
I think Obama will win. That doesn't mean I want him to. I am just praying that the best man for the job will be elected to the highest office in the nation. I pray that the man who will do the most good for our country will be elected. These gas prices and food prices are killing the American people.

I was late for this one- out of town. None too thrilled about the choices this time but, sorry, NObama for me.

Haaa.. good question:)
If it's accepted I'm certainly for Obama. We need a change, and we need Obama.
Thoughts by the way.. if Obama is president then will we still call it the White House?
TGIF,
Have a nice weekend.

p.s. another interesting question . . . Will Hillary be Vice President? Karen.
Posted by: Karen | June 23, 2008 at 07:23 AM
If Obama doesn't win you R's will be eating grits and living in worse tar paper shacks than you already live in.
Posted by: Sandy | August 13, 2008 at 09:05 AM
Sandy, that was incredibly unkind and downright ugly statement.
I'd prefer McCain--there have been a lot of things coming out recently about Obama that I do not like (and no, I am not talking about the Obama is a Muslim thing as its not true). I do not like his tax plan, his increased entitlements (which he plans to pay for by tax increases) and I am particularly disturbed by his stand on partial birth abortion. It is appalling and dreadful.
Oh yeah, Sandy, grits are lovely with lots of butter and sugar or butter and salt and pepper.

Stumbled into this older question, and wondering how everyone is feeling 3 months later with the addition of Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket and Joe Biden to the Democratic.
McCain is a Maverick, but in an America that needs an overhaul I think that is a good thing. And Palin is a very conservative addition, with the core of her beliefs focused on Family Values. I think America's downward spiral has come from the "Me First" attitude of our nation, and we have no good role models left. Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan and their ilke are NOT role models that I want my children looking up to.
I believe McCain will win this one. America cannot afford an extreme liberal who cannot be clear on his beliefs and stand behind them 100%, whether they are popular beliefs or not. At least with Hillary, you would know exactly where she stood, regardless of whether you liked her. She would have made it a much tougher race for McCain, but I think this one is a "done deal".
