Thank you for stopping by from Rhondi's Front Porch Party at Rose Colored Glasses. Today is a special day for Rhondi - it is her birthday. Happy, Happy Birthday Rhondi!!! Rhondi is so graciously hosting this wonderful party, and I'm so glad you decided to stop by my home for a visit.
Yes, I see you coming down the sidewalk now.
It's nice to see you, and please say hi to Beatrice. We've been waiting for you.
We really enjoy our porch. It goes the full width of the house, and it is nice and deep just in case you want to put tables out here for parties. Did you know that in the Old South many weddings took place on the steps in front of the house? I love decorating our porch for the holidays. It won't be long before you'll find red, white and blue buntings hanging from the porch rails and Uncle Sam greeting you for the Fourth of July.
We love sitting out here in the early morning or early evening. We rock and watch the world go by. Neighbors walking past always wave and say hello. I like to have fresh cut flowers on the porch when we have things blooming in our yard. The porch is a quiet place to read or just rock and relax.
Have a seat and make yourself comfortable. I have some pink lemonade and chocolate cake in the house. I'll bring some out, and we can sit for a spell and chat.
I'm so glad you came by for a visit. Please tell the people at the other porches that I said hello. Maybe I'll see you at one later today.
***Please let me know if you are going to participate in Pink Saturday. Just leave me a comment or e-mail me, and I will include the link to your post on my Pink Saturday post. Join in and play - it will be fun.***

Found my way here from the porch party. I really love your porch! I love wicker furniture, and I think a big porch like yours would be such a wonderful place to entertain! Your house looks lovely and seems like it is in a gorgeous setting.

What a lovely porch and gorgeous landscaping! Ah, there's nothing like a southern porch. The pediments and shutters on the windows~ the brick at the steps. I could sit here all day, but my there's a long list of folks to vist so I best be on my way!

Beverly,
I have appreciated all your lovely comments on my blog as of late. I apologize for not getting together with you sooner however we have company and I haven't been at that computer much.
My goodness! I love your blog and you have the most incredible front porch. I absolutely adore it!! You've inspired me to send Donna a "fat quarter" for the quilt giveaway and to join in on the front porch party even though I don't have a porch big enough to party on.
Thank you for visiting my “shoes” photo hunt. I appreciate your thoughts. You've had so many kind words on my blog and I truly do appreciate it. I'm so glad I stopped by to see you today. My day will be a good one because of you!!

I'm busy travelling this week, so couldn't participate in 'the front porch party'...but I love front porches. I even called my blog 'My Front Porch'! We also have a front porch that runs the width of our house...and is deep enough to set tables on. It's a wonderful spot to meet and entertain friends.
Thanks for having us over for a porch party, Beverly.
