Pink Saturday - December 20 and Christmas At Our Home - Day Twenty

My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday is the pink-iced donut ornament on our kitchen Christmas tree.  Doesn't it look tasty, and don't you love the sprinkles?  We love this tree, and it is decorated with lots of "delicious" ornaments.

 

This week we have one hundred two (102) participants in Pink Saturday.  Wow!!!  It seems that so many of us have fun with the color pink.  I hope you are all enjoying this as much as I am.

Please take the time to visit the other participants, and leave them a comment to let them know you stopped by to enjoy their pink.  Pink Saturday is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet others in the blogging community.  That is why it is important that we get out and visit each other.  I realize there are a lot of participants, and it is time-consuming to visit.  But, you don't have to visit every one all at once - just as you have time over the next few days.  I promise you it is worth the effort because you will not only see lots of pink, you will meet incredibly nice people.  Everyone likes to receive comments on their contributions.

Christmas At Our Home - Day Nineteen

This pretty basket sits on the floor in our breakfast room, and it is filled with lots of fabric ornaments stitched together years ago by my mother.  This has always been a favorite of small visitors to our home.

And, this is another favorite Santa ornament on our tree.  Don't you love his happy grin and curly beard?

Christmas At Our Home - Day Eighteen

Santa stands in our foyer just inside our front door.  He is with a collection of canes which belongs to my mother.

This chair is in our living room, and it is one of my favorite places to sit and read because the light is so great.  I especially like this Christmas pillow of the happy family.

Each Christmas our grandchild draws the illustration that we use for the front of our Christmas cards.  This is our illustration for this year.  We love this tradition.

Christmas At Our Home - Day Sixteen

For gorgeous holiday decor, be sure to go visit Kimba's Holiday Open House.

This sweet little Santa is the oldest one we have.  It is over fifty years old, and was given to me as a child the Christmas I was bedridden from having polio.  This cutie is a bobblehead, and a special treasure to me.

And, this fine, sweet bear belongs to my mother.  He spends his holidays on the couch in our living room.  Years ago one of our visitor opened their gifts and then tied the ribbons around his neck.  The ribbons have remained because they made him look so festive in his Christmas finery.

Christmas At Our Home - Day Fifteen

"Adeste Fideles" is the name of a hymn written by John Francis Wade in 1743 and the first line of the Latin text for which the tune was written. The text itself has unclear beginnings, and may have been written in the 13th century, though it has been concluded that Wade was probably the author. The original four verses of the hymn were extended to a total of eight, and these have been translated into many languages many times, though the English O Come All Ye Faithful translation by Frederick Oakeley is the most well-known.

This family of carolers is on one of the end tables in our living room.  We have had them over thirty years.  I believe I hear them singing O Come All Ye Faithful right now.

My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday is another look at pink Christmas in our half-bath.  Remember I told you I am a traditionalist with decorating colors for Christmas, so this bath is the only place I have to look for Christmas pink.  I do love this Victorian Santa surrounded by the Maud Humphrey figurines.  Make sure you notice the little girl in the pink coat.

Pink Saturday girls are fun.

My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday is another look at pink Christmas in our half-bath.  Remember I told you I am a traditionalist with decorating colors for Christmas, so this bath is the only place I have to look for Christmas pink.  I do love this Victorian Santa surrounded by the Maud Humphrey figurines.  Make sure you notice the little girl in the pink coat.

This week we have one hundred fourteen (114) participants in Pink Saturday.  Wow!!!  It seems that so many of us have fun with the color pink.  I hope you are all enjoying this as much as I am.

Please take the time to visit the other participants, and leave them a comment to let them know you stopped by to enjoy their pink.  Pink Saturday is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet others in the blogging community.  That is why it is important that we get out and visit each other.  I realize there are a lot of participants, and it is time-consuming to visit.  But, you don't have to visit every one all at once - just as you have time over the next few days.  I promise you it is worth the effort because you will not only see lots of pink, you will meet incredibly nice people.  Everyone likes to receive comments on their contributions.

Christmas At Our Home - Day Twelve

Today I am sharing some of my favorite ornaments on our Christmas tree.  I like the way the lights reflect through this ornament.

This Santa is by Christopher Radko, and he is off in his sleigh delivering presents.

 

This sparkly Santa's waistline gives away all those cookies he has to eat.

And, this Santa was a gift from my friend Jacki in our Old Timers group at Two Peas In A Bucket.
