It's Blue Monday. Be certain to go visit Sally and everyone doing the blues today.
It is made out of glass and mirror, and was built in the manner used to assemble a stained glass piece. It is quite heavy, and it measures almost eight inches in length.
I love gazing through the scope and marveling at all of the changing images, and so does my grandson. To me, kaleidoscopes are like looking into a magic window. Visions of loveliness dance before my eye.

Good morning Beverly, I love your Kaleidoscope, and I too have always been interested
in them. Yours is extraordinary. Beautiful and truly a work of work. Your mom knows you pretty well and that is a very special gift. Of course, that is because you are a very special person.
Have a wonderful day.
Love always...Jeanne

As aa child, I, too loved kaleidoscopes. We used to buy the cheap, carboard ones at the dime store and they produced the most beautiful colors and shapes.
This one of yours is like none I have ever seen before. Very beautiful...

I love kaleidoscopes. I have one made from a rock that is in my office. It is in the shape of an egg.

How many memories just came flowing back, as a child one of my favorite past times was setting on the front gallery and looking through one of those metal Kaleidoscopes that pulled out like a spy glass. Thanks for sharing.

Be a sweetie,

Beverly, the kaleidescope is absolutely beautiful. Not like the little cardboard tubes with colored glass that we bought in the 5 and dime stores as children! I have never seen anything like it! And you are welcome! I was only too happy to share your link with my friends!! Kerrie

My dad had one of these when I was growing up (not nearly as pretty as yours) I used to sit for hours turning that thing and ooohing and ahhhing over how beatiful it was. You brought back some happy memories with this post :)

Beverly - How nice. I don't think that I have ever seen a "real" kaleidoscope before. We had ones that were toys as kids. What's better yet is that it's a gift from your mother and you are sharing it with your grandson. Happy Blue Monday!
