I had no idea what was going on Beverly and I'm so sorry. I hope your mom is better very soon and I pray that she doesn't have to have sugery. Please give her a hug for me.
The recipe I'm famous for that I made up is Chicken Tacos. The recipe is on my blog. I loved eating off the taco trucks in Mexico and back home in California, so when I wasn't able to eat off of them when we moved I made my own. There was a lot of trial and error, but now everyone says they taste just as good if not better.
love to you!

Beverly~ Your mom and you will continue to be in my prayers!
My recipe: flatten chicken breasts, put a dollop of WHIPPED cream cheeses & chives and a smidge of butter, in the center, roll the chicken breast and top with a few slices of bacon, bake at 350 for 1/2 hour-45 mins. Sometimes I put the dish under the broiler, at the end, to crisp the bacon a bit. The cream cheese/ butter mixture will ooze out. YUM! I serve it with rice pilaf or couscous and asparagus. NOT low-cal, but easy & delicious!

Hello Beverly,
I will continue to pray for your mother. My Mom is having her hip surgery this afternoon. It will be a tough go for her as well.
I have a couple of recipes my boys love. Hubby is a meat and potato man so he doesn't have a favourite. My boys love my spaghetti and lasagna. The secret is in the sauce, *smile* which I use in both recipes. My youngest son claims I make the best potato salad in the world! Now, that's quite a compliment! But I am known for my desserts among my friends! I do a lot of entertaining so I tend to have a wide variety of desserts. Funny thing is, I am not particularly fond of cooking or baking but I do it to please those I love.
Have a lovely day.
Blessings,
Sandi

My mother had her shoulder joint replaced when she was 87. It is a very difficult surgery and recovery. I think you are wise to avoid it. Keep doing what you are doing.

Glad to hear that your mother is healing as they want her to!
The only thing I make that is guest-worthy is my recipe for Victorian Creme with Raspberry Sauce - which was actually printed in Gourmet Magazine about ten years ago!

Glad to hear the update on your mom. Praying for relief of pain and mobility soon. If I was closer I'd bring y'all one of my famous cheesecakes that I get requests for all the time. My kids enjoy it when I make any of my mom's Russian dishes or they can get their father's swedish pancakes...

Beverly,I was not aware of you mothers shoulder break til today.I had to scroll back to see when I missed it.It must've taken place while I was away(offline),my husbands mother passed on the 22nd and we were very preoccupied.
So sorry to hear about it,but I am glad to hear that things are looking good so far.I will keep her in my prayers.
--------
The dish I am most requested to make is actually a dip.
It is my salsa.I don't know why it is so popular but even at Christmas time,I am asked to make it lol.
I follow no recipe, its just "eye" measurements. It's spicy, but not hot.It has more flavor to it than any I've tasted.

Hi Beverly...I'm asking in prayer for your mom's continued healing w/o surgery...
I asked my hubby what I cook he likes...no gourmet here...LOL...he said chicken fried steak & salmon patties...my grandson would say meatloaf. Years & I do mean years ago, I was known for cake with 7-minute icing...haven't made that frosting in forever... ;-) Bo

I will continue praying, Beverly, and hope for healing.
A recipe....hmmmm, I would have to say chicken divan. We all love it.
Hugs,
Donna

I am famous for my cinnamon, sticky, frosted rolls! And breads. I used to bake everything we ate.
I'm so glad you Mom is doing well. Her spirits seem up.

That's good about your mom's x-ray. Hopefully she can avoid surgery.
I don't really have a signature dish - isn't that awful?!

Oh Beverly I will still say prayers for your mom also. I will.
Lately I'm not much of a cook, but pancakes are my households favorite and my spaghetti sauce. It's all about the pots & the pans!!
See you Saturday Beverly.

It was good to see your update about your mom, Beverly. You guys are certainly still in my prayers. Please take care of yourself.
I'm not much of a cook. I can tell you that my family always knows I will make my Texas Sheet Cake for every single occasion---I rarely screw it up! :)

Many Prayers Your way!
I make a ground beef with mushrooms, onions, and celery and we eat it on rice. It is really simple easy (all in one pot) and hits the spot!
Thanks for all you do! I will be joining you again on saturday, I'm loving all the great Pinkies!
Hugs, Lisa

I came by to check on your mom. I hope that she will continue to heal and not need surgery. I'd bring my green enchilada casserole over for you if we lived close enough. It's the one thing I make that my hubby would eat every day if I let him.

I just checked with you and then found that I had not been around here yesterday. Sorry...too much going on..
My family comes runnin' when I am fixing Chicken and Dumplings....

It changes. Sometimes they want my pound cake, sometimes my slaw. My crock pot pork roast is popular, and so is my chili. I guess I'm not really famous for any one recipe, just whatever they can talk me into cooking.

Hi Beverly,
praying for your dear mother.
The Best dish that I can cook up: Jambalaya. I put a lot of chicken and spicy Italian sausage in it. I usually make this for a gathering or for a potluck.
The dish that made me Famous: My Jumbo sweet and spicy Meatballs with a well blended Italian meat sauce for dipping.
My family and friends request: My Red Velvet cakes and cupcakes.

Good news for your mom. I remember those check-ups and x-rays and elation when things were unchanged. Will keep praying for her.
I guess I'm "famous" for two things: lasagne in the winter and broccoli salad in the summer. Well, my mom also always requests my version of potato salad.
