Pink Saturday!

We're celebrating our first birthday today.

Let's have some pink cake. Doesn't it look divine?!
I know it looks small, but don't worry.
There is plenty for all of us.
Here's the recipe just in case you want to bake one yourself.

And of course, we must have pink balloons.

I can hardly believe that it has been one year since we started sharing Pink Saturday. My first Pink Post was April 12, 2008, and the first day others started posting with me was May 31, 2008. The first two participants were Donna at Donna's - In The Attic and Jeanne at Backyard Neighbor. Here is a link to that post. The second week there were an additional twelve new participants, and it has continued to grow and grow. Here is a link to the second week post. Just look where we are now. At some time there have been 442 different people that have participated in Pink Saturday.

This week we have two hundred twenty-three (223) participants in Pink Saturday. There are ten new participants, and you will find them at the bottom of the list. Let's all take time to welcome them to Pink Saturday.

Please take the time to visit other participants, and leave a comment to let them know you stopped by to enjoy their pink. Pink Saturday is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet others in the blogging community. I promise you it is worth the effort because you will not only see lots of pink, you will meet incredibly nice people. Please refer to my post dated January 8 for more information about Pink Saturday.

Please remember that my reminder e-mail stated I needed your plan for participating today no later than 8 a.m. EST yesterday. If you don't see your name and link here it is because I did not receive your plan for participating by that time.

HI Beverly! HAPPY ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY TO PINK SATURDAY!!! It took me eight tries to get into you blog today as I kept getting the nasty red X and the message Internet Explorer could not open it, but I was determined to leave a message so I kept trying. I'm so glad PS has been such a big success! I wish I could participate more but I am hardly online on weekends because my husband and I are often going here and there and doing chores, and I hate not being able to visit everyone in the group ....and I also ran out of pink things.... and I've got to collect a few more...but hopefully one quiet weekend I'll be back.
