I remember when they used to "sell" these poppies. Happy Blue Monday.
Yes, I'd LOVE to have you rush over and help me pack! What time shall I expect you? Bring refreshments, would ya?

I also remember people selling these poppies outside of department stores, when I was a child.
I believe we were still writing with quill pens.

My favorite blue of all! The blueblood that runs in patriot veins! They are my heroes! :-)
And I remember those poppies well. We always bought them at school and took off on Memorial Day to decorate the graves.
XO,
Sheila :-)

I'm back as you know dear Beverly - have missed keeping up with you but hope to do better once re-settled! It was hard to leave - Devon was the prettiest I've ever seen it.
Hope your holiday weekend is fun - I too am remembering the reason and am grateful to all service people, both past and present.

Good morning Beverly. Happy Memorial Day. I too remember the poppies and I should have posted mine. I do have a great photo of one. I haven't read my email yet but I will. I am posting a few comments today but time is limited. I hear a stirring upstairs and I NEED some coffee.
I love you my dearest friend...Jeanne

Remembering why we celebrate Memorial Day. I'm so proud to be here...and know that I am here only through the Grace of God and those who serve through Him.

Happy Blue Monday.
BTW you are my "featured site" this week.
I couldn't get your banner picture, so I picked another one of yours. I hope it's ok?
