My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday is this gorgeous pink rose bloom, First Prize. It consists of deep rose pink buds of amazing length and spiral grace which open to immense blooms. The inside petals are a lighter shade giving the flower a glowing effect. First Prize was the only AARS winner in 1970, and is one of the most highly rated of all roses. And, not only is it beautiful, it has a wonderful fragrance. I hope you aren't tired of seeing roses.
This week we have one hundred seventy (170) participants in Pink Saturday. There are thirteen new participants, and you will find them at the bottom of the list. Let's all take time to welcome them to Pink Saturday
Please take the time to visit other participants, and leave a comment to let them know you stopped by to enjoy their pink. Pink Saturday is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet others in the blogging community. I promise you it is worth the effort because you will not only see lots of pink, you will meet incredibly nice and talented people. Please refer to my post dated January 8 for more information about Pink Saturday.
Remember that my reminder e-mail stated I needed your plan for participating today no later than 8 a.m. EST yesterday. If you don't see your name and link here it is because I did not receive your plan for participating by that time.
I want to thank those of you that take the time to leave me a comment. I love reading what you all have to say.

Beverly...gorgeous pink rose...Pink was never a color I really had or used a lot of, but since I started participating in Pink Saturday, I have started adding pink items to my house and jewelry, etc.
Pink will not replace my purple, but they now sit side by side with my lime green.
Thanks for all you do to hose this day.

I assure you Beverly, we never get tired of your roses. The Prize is a true Prize. I wanted to do a rose post on my roses....they are all pink. Hi again Beverly, We are lucky to have an 85 yr. old Mom that is sharp as a tack. Until last year, when she had hip replacement, she was still mowing her yard. She was so upset this Spring when she couldn't get down in the dirt and plant her flowers. On Mother's Day we kids went home and did all her planting for her. :) HPS again. xo Lynn

I just found you through one of my Norwegian blogfriends... I would have loved to join your PINK Saturday. In fact, my blogpost at www.sweeterhomes.blogspot.com today was titled "All that pink..." I like your blog and I hope you'll drop by me too... I have two blogs: sweeterhomes and sweeterliving - different, but both sweet;)

I'm having a great time with my first Pink Saturday post.
Thank you for your lovely comments Beverly - I'm looking forward to future Pink Saturdays. It's wonderful to meet so many of your lovely friends. I'm slowly working my way through the blogs - they're all amazing.
Thank you again for this opportunity.
ciao for now,
Elena :)

Hi Bev,
What a beautiful rose. Just returning from a trip to Vermont, so I am a bit late with saying Happy Pink Saturday.
Yesterday I added an invitation to Pink Art from Girl Gone Thread Wild to help raise money for breast cancer to my giveaway post.
I hope you have a lovely day.

So sorry I'm late this weekend; it was my hubby's birthday yesterday. I love pink roses! This week I have some wedding flowers for Pink Saturday. Pink Rules!

What a gorgeous rose, Beverly. It certainly does deserve the title of "First Prize"!!
Wow! 170 participants this week!! Is that a record, other than the day we celebrated the First Birthday?
I also love Hang on Sloopy!! :) Ah, what great songs we had Way Back Then!! :)
