Do you recall that several months ago I told you about my quest for a perfect rooster pillow for our breakfast room? I had been looking for several years, and I think I had become so set on the image I had in my mind, that I couldn't find a pillow to suit me.
Well, you all were great. It was like you each picked up on the features I wanted, and you gave me great leads. In fact, Penny at The Comforts of Home, found what is now my Perfect Rooster Pillow. The pillow is an 18x18 French Aubusson with lovely fringe and a gold velvet backing.
Our breakfast room has an antigue round oak clawfoot table, and we have four oak side chairs around it. Then when our darling grandson came into our lives, we needed another chair. I found a chair at an unfinished furniture store which we painted a pretty yellow-gold. We keep the chair by the wall, and when our little fellow is here, he gets "his" chair. All of these years I have been thinking I needed something pretty to sit in that chair when it wasn't in use. And, now I have that something pretty.
And, here is the now happy chair. Notice how the new pillow has the rooster and pink roses similar to the rug under the table. It's just perfect.

Good morning Beverly. Your pillow is divine. Hooray for Penny. It is the perfect accent for your beautiful breakfast area. I love the colors too. I actually bought two new pillows for my couch. I am still studying them to make sure I like them in my great room. I love them but are they right? I'll post them and get some opinions.

The colours on the cushion are perfect and tie in well with the decor in your dining room. It's such a lovely design and I love the bobble fringing all around it - I love fringng of any kind.

I am so sad this week, Bev. Which is the most significant death of the week -F. Fawcett, or Ed McMahon? Or Neda A. Soltan, or Michael Jackson -who's one of my idol after Elvis.
While my mind was shaking up and down with these news that's not so good, I hardly worked, in fact I did not want to work at all.

Leave it to that sweet Penny to help you find just what you were looking for. It is, indeed, a beautiful pillow.
I am not sure that I even knew you had a grandson. Do you have more? And, it just dawned on me, you've never shown us a photo of your sweet self. How 'bout one??

I love your breakfast room! That pillow is perfect with the gold chair and that pretty rug. I'm Portuguese and we believe that it is good luck to have a rooster in the house. I guess you have lots of luck! LOL
