I'm back at work this morning. We had a wonderful - and very busy Thanksgiving holiday. We had great family time, great food and made special memories.
Did you notice my new banner? Sweet Gabriela at Gabriela Delworth created it for me. I love my new banner, and I love Gabriela, too. Thank you, Gabriela.
Yesterday we were invited to have dinner with our son and grandson. My son made his famous chili and delicious cornbread. They already had finished decorating for the holidays, and everything looked great. We had fun playing Cranium, and we laughed watching my son's rendition of Elvis.
My grandson drew the design for our Christmas cards. He has been doing this every year since he was a little guy, and he created another great design this year. Now, I just have to get them ready for printing. I'll share it with you later.
I got so close to finishing my decorating, but not quite. The tree is up, but it isn't decorated. I just used up all of the time and energy I had. I'll get it done this week.
This is where I flopped for short breaks while decorating.
The basket is filled with little cloth ornaments my mother stitched for me years ago.
This picture is the first of Christmas Around Our Home. Like last year, I will share a picture each day until Christmas.

Good Morning Sweet Beverly...
I love this picture you have shared this morning. What a beautiful place to sit and take quick breaks in between the busy time of decorating. (I started too, I have 2 of the large trees done, still have 1 more large one to go. They are so time consuming.) I love the golden yellow of the chair, and your rooster pillow is just so country.
I love your basket of cloth ornaments. How sweet to have something like this that your Mother hand stitched. (Moma is a good seamstress too, I have 2 little ornaments that she made one year while she was here.)
Thanks for sharing this morning sweetie. Stop by soon. Have a great Monday morning. Country hugs...Sherry

Good morning Beverly. I LOVE the pillow and the basket of ornaments. You really can't see the ornaments very well. You needed a closeup.
This morning I got on my compose site and there is some weird lettering where I would add my photos, link, etc. HELP!!!!! I am going to copy an old post because I don't know what to do.
Love you, Jeanne

Hi Beverly,
I noticed your new header the other day and really like it! Gabriela did a great job. You are far ahead of me on the Christmas decorating - I probably won't get started for another week. I love your chair in the photo.

Wow... Noticed the new banner right away, Beverly! It is GORGEOUS! Gabriela did a beautiful job creating it... It's perfect for the season. :o) It's been tough getting back into the swing of things after the holiday weekend... We did a little Christmas decorating too. Looking forward to a taste of Christmas at your house. Happy Week, my friend ((HUGS))

Hi, Sweet Beverly... I haven't done the first thing with my decorations because I am busy shopping. Today I am taking part of the day to blog. So I wanted to stop by here and see what you're doing. Hope your day back at work goes well.
Love your new header and that good looking pillow in your chair. That's the one you found, isn't it, when you were looking for them??? Love it!
I think it's neat that you have ornies your mother made. When my mother died, we divided all of her ornaments, and I took some of the funky ones because they were so sweet. I'm sentimental that way.
Love to you...
XO,
Sheila :-)

I noticed your new banner this past Saturday but forgot to mention it. It's lovely, just like you.
My son does Elvis too!

Love your new banner! It's just right. And what a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration you had. I would love to have my grandson design my Christmas cards - my oldest grandson is very artistic. Maybe you've planted a thought there for the future. I love your yellow chair (just a bit jealous 'cause my favorite color is yellow and I don't have a yellow chair!) Think I'll have to remedy that. And what a sweet basket of ornaments from your dear mother. Hope we can see them upclose sometime. Thanks for sharing your life with us - I always enjoying stopping by.

Hi Beverly,
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
I love your new banner!
I, too, am getting some Christmas decorations out and slowly getting things done. Can't wait to see some of your holiday photos, and your Christmas cards designed by your grandson! How wonderful.
Hugs,
Donna

It sounds like a perfect day, Beverly. I love the new banner. It's just right for you.

Love your new header, Beverly! I have done NO decorating yet. I'm starting to think maybe I won't, since it's just me and no one sees it. Plus, I can't decorate by myself because I need someone to get the boxes for me.

Yes, I like the new header. Beautiful! Great idea to share a photo a day. Wish you would let the little ornaments spill out of the basket so we could see them better. Love the rooster pillow in the chair.....Sarah
