Wish I was going "home" to my family this year...but we will do for Christmas soon though... So just Thanksgiving hubby & I and not doing a big celebration this year. But there will be pumpkin pie--gotta have that! Happy Day, Beverly ((HUGS))

we always spend Thanksgiving alone, curled up and enjoying our favorite classic movies and eating way too much food

We can't decide. Friends have invited us to their home in NC and we'd love to go, but now our youngest daughter has decided she and her family want to come home and I certainly would rather be with precious grandchildren! I guess I just made up my mind--staying home it is!

We will celebrate it at home. One of my sons will be here for the entire week. So we will watch Macy's Parade, then football as the turkey is roasting...
Hugs,
Penny

We are going to my daughter's house for Thanksgiving. Her aunt is coming from Hawaii to visit her and is making dinner. I will be making a T-day dinner for us on Friday. I love the leftovers LOL!
Sorry about your little disaster today!!!! UGH!
take care,
Dawn

Oh Beverly, I am seeing dollar signs too. Call your insurance co. Floods are covered.
We have stayed home for Thanksgiving for the past two years. Never again, unless our children come here. We are going to Jax. Fl. for Thanksgiving with our daughters. We have two daughters and their families who live in Florida. Oh joy, I will do the tablescape. I love setting my daughter's table (once mine, Ethan Allen Georgian design) can you tell I miss that dining room set? I no longer have a formal dining room. My daughter's brick, very traditional home, is perfect for my dining room set in her beautiful formal dining room. I will be posting it with much joy!
Love you, Jeanne

We are staying in town, going to my brother's...and then possibly in-laws..... I personally like to go to ONE place.....

We will be hosting Thanksgiving this year. We have for the past several years. I actually like doing that because it's less stressful on my Mom. My DMIL comes over, my siblings sometimes, just whoever doesn't have somewhere to go comes and eats with us. We have some friends that don't have very much family so they come over to our house. So, if you have no where to go......come on by and eat with us. :0)

We are "feasting" at home...twice! First with one half of the family on T-day, the two days later with the other half! Fun, fun, fun!

We are going away to our cabin in the woods for a nice quiet holiday this year.

We're "converging" on our granddaughter over in Washington state. A seven hour drive over the Cascades. It'll be her first official family holiday to host and she and we are excited, sugar!
Thank you profoundly for the Veterans day remembrance. They are truly HEROES!!!!
XOXO,
Connie

We are spending Thanksgiving at home and hope everyone who is able will join us! I always love any time my family is together - whenever that happens, wherever that happens, it's a holiday of sorts - lots of love, laughter, hugs, and oh yes, food.
Our veterans are true heroes on a daily basis. Prayers to each of them and their families.

We're spending it at home, just the 2 of us. Our son is staying in NYC - it's such a long trip and he'll be home in December, anyway.
Earlier this fall we thought about going up to the Santa Barbara wine country and finding a B & B, but things are a little tight, so we'll stay home. We live in such a pretty place, it's almost like vacationing, anyway.

We haven't firmed up our T-Giving plans, yet. We'll either be at my son's or they will be here! We just live about 30 min. apart. We had it here last year...I'll let them tell me what they want to do. I don't care. I'm just thrilled we'll be together again!
Yes, God Bless our Veterans and our current members of the military. L, Dana

We're going to my Dad's beach house. I'm the only girl, with my dad, brother, husband & two boys. So obviously I'll be doing ALL the cooking! But, it should be fun to get away. The kids are out of school 3 days, plus the weekend, so we'll have a 5 day break. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hi Beverly! I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for my entire family for over 30 years! I stopped a few years ago when we went to Denver to celebrate and my older brother picked up the holiday because he now has 8 grandchildren and the family is just too large. I may go to the Macy's day parade ...if my foot does not have a stress fracture! I've been having pain and swelling and the doctor thinks I my have one ...had an MRI yesterday. It's "always something!" lol!!
HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!!
Hugs, Pat

We are going to my sister's house up near Sacramento. It's a 2 hour drive away except on Thanksgiving when it's a 4+ hour drive. Every year we try leaving at a different time between Wednesday morning and early Thursday morning attempting to discover the least amount of traffic time. It's almost become a game.
Happy Veteran's Day!

Great question, Beverly. We are spending the day with our son and his family...they live only 35 minutes away...we will split the cooking...I will make the "cold" things, and take them with us. I always look forward to Thanksgiving because I have everything to be thankful for! God's blessings are abundant, everywhere I turn, He has gone before to make my walk a little easier, and when there is a mountain, He holds me up.
Thank you to our veterans, who have given so much to our country. Their dedication amazes me...when I stop and think about what it takes to walk into a recruiting office and sign up...that takes courage and dedication. May we always hold them in high honor and show them the respect they deserve.
God bless,
Mary

Bevery, we are going to Cracker Barrel-ha! My dau and fam that live here are going to go and then come back to Grandma's house for dessert so we can keep the tradition of eating at Grandma's! This will be our first time eating out but the trouble with that is there are no left over's, oh wait, is that a blessing?? ♥ Kerrie

I'll be cooking but we will be on Orca's Island in Puget Sound. It will be a traditional meal but I'll serve very informally.

My hubby and I plan on flying to the Seattle area to visit my oldest son. Meanwhile my daughter and her family will hope to come to our house to make a meal for my youngest son and their grandpa1

I am just not sure how mines will turn out. I lost my Mum last Saturday but I really would like to get my brothers and sisters together at my home this year.

This Thanksgiving I am celebrating in my daughter's new apartment - she is so excited to cook her first fancy dinner and have everyone over. It will be so much fun. I can't thank you enough for your lovely comment on my blog today.

I will be hosting Thanksgiving here at my home - minus my sweetheart! He will be in the far corner of the state, elk hunting with family and friends. My dear little mother, my cousin and her husband will join me. Both of our kids and their families will be away this year. It's looking like it will be a quiet day for us at my home. And that's fine!

We have always celebrated Thanksgiving at home with the traditional turkey and dressing and all the trimmings. However with my husband having passed away just a couple of months ago, my daughter and I have talked about going out to eat and then to a movie. Neither one of us is much in the mood to celebrate.
