I am participating in Rhoda's Home For the Holidays at Southern Hospitality. Thank you, Rhoda, for hosting this spectacular event. I have been posting a different picture of Christmas Around Our Home every day since November 30, and today is Day Eleven. Thank you for visiting, and I hope you will scroll through my other posts for a glimpse of Christmas Around Our Home.
Today I am sharing a picture taken in our foyer. The picture was taken from the foot of the stairway looking back into the foyer and our back hall. You can see some of our front stairway and our antique oak hall tree. The hall tree belonged to my husband's great-grandmother, and I hang all kinds of fun things on the hooks during the holidays. The hall tree is a fun place to decorate, and I change the hats and bags seasonally. Maybe one day I will share a close-up picture of all of the fun Christmas items hanging there now.

Good morning Beverly. This photo is gorgeous of your lovely Christmas in your home. When I had stairs I love decorating them every year. My hall tree hasn't had much attention this year. Winter coats are the decorations right now. Bill keeps several going at one time. I hang mine in the closet, of course. All of your decorations are worthy of a magazine spread.
Have a great day...Love you, Jeanne

What a cozy hallway with the wreath on the bench and the garland on the banister. I liked how you interspersed the picks between the bows. Very pretty. Now that's a cute Santa with the humongous pack on his back!

Oh, what a pretty view, Beverly! I love the crisp reds against your golden walls. Are they yellow? I adore that color! And I like the reds on your antique hall tree, too. So pretty and Christmasy!

of course, my eye goes immediately to those two fab picture frames hanging outside the doorway. LOL - where gilded objects are, I am never far behind! LOL

I just went through all your Christmas posts and your home looks wonderful. Warm, inviting and a place I would love to have a talk and a cup of coffee with a dear friend YOU ;)
I'm so sorry about Jenni. May she rest in peace, now that she's cancer free.

O...and I miss your question yesterday...O YES...DO WE EVER HANG STOCKINGS...EIGHTEEN (18) OF THEM....after I hang that many, I really don't need any other decorations other than the tree !! :O)

Oh Beverly, It looks so pretty all decked out in it's Christmas finery. I will answer your stocking question on this post if that's okay. No...we don't do stockings. We still do bags because that's what I had as a child. My grown boys still love it. And I would so love to share a plate of cookies with you for real. xo Lynn
