We have been very busy decorating for the Christmas holiday. This is day two of Christmas Around Our Home.
This picture was taken in our dining room. The bowl and pitcher stay on our table year-round. It was passed on to my paternal grandmother, then to my parents, and now we have it in our home. I like to put white blooms in it, and as you can see, right now I have calla lilies. The table runner is probably about thirty years old; my mother always used it on their dining room table for the holidays.
This picture also gives you a look at our chandelier. This is the one that I told you I got several months ago. We put up a very pretty ceiling medallion when we put up the chandelier. Now, why didn't I take a picture of it?
The Santa in the brass sleigh pulled by the reindeer was purchased at A Christmas Place in Fort Lauderdale back in the eighties.
Please be certain to come back tomorrow for
What's My Question Wednesday
I love What's My Question Wednesday. It is so interesting to read each of your perspectives on my question of the week. I hope you will begin to come by and take the time to answer my question.
You will enjoy reading the other responses, too.

Your diningroom is so elegant. Your Christmas decorations are wonderful and it's great that you can tell a story about each piece. I am so jealous of your chandelier, I want one. Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhha!!!

Beverly, the chandelier is stunning. It looks so festive with the runner and the pitcher and bowl handed down in your family. Ohhhhh, the calla lilies are gorgeous. Where on earth did you find them? Are they real? Was I with you when you purchased the Santa and sleigh? I remember only one time that I was able to shop after Thanksgiving. I always had to work.
Have a wonderful day.
Love you, Jeanne

Everything looks so pretty, Beverly! It's nice to have family treasures and use them, isn't it? And I love the new chandelier.
Santa looks right at home on top of your china cabinet, and I think the cold weather of NC suits him well, though we wish you were still in the Sunshine State!
XO,
Sheila :-)

It just looks beautiful, Beverly. So classic and clean. I tend to get too much "stuff' out and every year I say that I am going to tone it down.
I need to take some lessons from you, dear one. Your decorating is so pretty.

Oh Beverly!
The chandelier looks so wonderful! Love those dreamy-looking lace valances. It looks like the old French or Belgium lace I just adore. We'll wait for another camera day when you feature the medallion with the chandelier.
