I live fairly close to Lake Travis in the Austin area. It is another lake created by a dam and looks a lot like this one in some ways. Because it is man-made there is not much in the way of sandy "beach", but there are an enormous number of rocks along the shoreline in lots of places. Besides which, it is in the middle of Texas Hill Country, meaning that it's an adventure finding your way down the hillsides to the water, unless of course, one owns lake front property, which we don't! But it sure is pretty to look at!
