Happy Pink Saturday !

This week we have one hundred eighty-five (185) participants in Pink Saturday.  There are seven new participants, and you will find them at the bottom of the list.  Let's all take time to welcome them to Pink Saturday.  All participants are listed in the order in which they began participating.

Please take the time to visit other participants, and leave a comment to let them know you stopped by to enjoy their pink.  Pink Saturday is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet others in the blogging community.  I promise you it is worth the effort because you will not only see lots of pink, you will meet incredibly nice and talented people.  Please refer to my post dated January 8 for more information about Pink Saturday.

Happy Pink Saturday to everyone, and a heartfelt thank you to Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday each week.  I've been blogging for over three years now, and discovered Pink Saturday about a year and a half ago.  My pinks come mostly by way of flowers - I'm enchanted by all the varieties of pink flowers there are, especially roses.  I love the art of handmade, I also love flea markets and reworking and refinishing of the treasures I find.  My blog has several reasons for being - it's an outlet for my love of photography and also a place to write about the happenings of my life - from making our house a home, to sharing the things I create, to connecting with like-minded women in different areas of creativity (such as Pink Saturday!).  Blogging is truly amazing.  And this week I'm having a giveaway to share my thrill of having my blog featured in the latest issue of Artful Blogging!  So please stop by, say hello, and throw your name into the hat!

Thank you Beverly for featuring me on your "Pink Saturday" post!  I feel so honored.  I am a lover of Pink!  I believe Pink should have it's own holiday!  Wouldn't that be fun?  I am a serial collector, who knows she needs to one day get therapy for her problem.  I love to collect pretty things, my collections take on a life of their own.  I am currently co-hosting a "Tea Cup Tuesday", where ladies come to share their tea treasures.  It has been a great success.  I am newbie to blogland and just love it.  A few of my favorite things are Limoges China, vintage linens, silver, plates, roses, ladies on print, plates or statues, lamps, paintings, (you get the picture.)  When I want to start a new collection or trade up, I sell my collectibles on Ebay.  I do not own one of anythng, (I know, therapy!)  I joined "Pink Saturday" about a year ago and have been a regular ever since.  Please come by and visit me, I love to make new friends.  I think "Pinkies" are the best.  I love the Lord and feel blessed to have made so many new friends in blogland!  However, one can never have too many friends!  Blessings, Martha

Thank you for hosting Pink Saturdays Beverly!  I really enjoy all the pretty pink posts every week.  I am Missy from Fairy Child Heirlooms.  I love to create so many different things buy my business is primarily heirloom baby items.  I have four beautiful daughters ages 16, 13, 9, & 7.  Even though my "baby" is seven now, I still love to hand embroider and hand smock sweet little baby clothes.  Everything I make includes a piece of my heart.  I imagine the sweet little baby that might wear the outfit or be wrapped gently in my blankets as I lovingly make them.  I want to apologize for not posting regularly recently... I'm going through a divorce which makes life very complicated.  I could use your cheerful thoughts right now, and yesterday was my birthday, so come on over to wish me a Happy Pink Birthday!  love, Missy

It's so exciting to be one of the featured blogs for Pink Saturday!  A Random Act of Grace is an act or symbol of grace that occurs randomly in the world.  This blog is about intentionally creating random acts of grace in the world through art and craft.  Behind these actions is the idea that there is a spirituality to making things.  So, be it fine art or simple craft, we give away ourselves just a little when we make something.  There are lots of other crafty arty kinds of things here, too, and just having a blog is giving away something creative every day to everyone who comes for a visit.  Grace itself is, in a manner of speaking, the act of giving away.  Not for gain or as a reward for good deeds.  Not even for a thank you.  Grace is giving away because my cup overflows.  Please stop by for a visit.

My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday is a big announcement.  I am joining with our very own Kelee at The Katillac Shack in an effort to create and be able to share more blessings with those having a special need.  This special event will take place here for Pink Saturday, August 28.  We are all so blessed, and I know many of you will want to support this good cause by linking and sharing in your posts.  Here is a letter from Kelee telling you all about it.  I will be sending weekly reminders beginning tomorrow until the big day.

Many of you will remember when Beverly and I co-hosted a comment party for Colette Gauthier who was suffering with cancer. She had moved into a tiny and dismal rental home. You all commented and my foundation Design Gives Back donated a dollar for each comment. Well, as the Inspired Home expert for Guideposts Magazine, I took a crew up to Michigan in the midst of winter to perform a "Miracle Makeover" and create a healing room for her to recover in throughout her treatment. The story is in the September Guideposts Magazine and the Miracle Makeover video     is coming out too. It is deeply inspiring. A must see. And it all started with your comments, thoughts, and prayers!!!! The Pink Saturday bloggers are even in the credits.

To celebrate the power of "creative miracles" Saturday August 28 will be a Pink Saturday Miracle Party! We want you to share in the joy and inspiration! Please dedicate your post to sharing an uplifting story, picture or other inspiring idea. Also, we ask that you post about the Guideposts story and video. We would love for the video to go all over the internet.  It is amazing and Colette shines! You have to see     the room to believe the transformation. It brings HOPE. Colette was given a 5-15% chance of survival. You can see her story in the reveal.

We can also earn more money by our comments for another makeover for another deserving person or family!
