Happy Pink Saturday !

This week we have one hundred ninety-two (192) participants in Pink Saturday.  There are ten new participants, and you will find them at the bottom of the list.  Let's all take time to welcome them to Pink Saturday.  All participants are listed in the order in which they began participating.

Please take the time to visit other participants, and leave a comment to let them know you stopped by to enjoy their pink.  Pink Saturday is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet others in the blogging community.  I promise you it is worth the effort because you will not only see lots of pink, you will meet incredibly nice and talented people.  Please refer to my post dated January 8 for more information about Pink Saturday.

Thank you, Beverly, for making the Pink Saturday's community.  I love the Pink Saturday.  I have my whole family looking out for ideas for Pink Saturday.  I have not been blogging very long.  Love the swaps and giveaways.  I want to do more giveaways.  Love giving gifts.  I'm always working on some projects.  I enjoy so many different crafts and art that I always have a number of projects in progress.  I enjoy fine art, painting in oils, acrylics and pastels.  Also thoroughly enjoy folk crafts....tole painting, wood carving, sewing , and dabbling in interior design.  I can not make up my mind if I like country of shabby Chic, so I do both.  One of my favorite things is looking for vintage finds.

A big thank you to our wonderful hostess, Beverly, for the perfection that is Pink Saturdays!  I love sharing pinks with fellow colour lovers, and I do so appreciate all the effort Beverly puts forth to make Pink Saturdays happen!  I'm excited to be featured this week - what a lovely honor!  I'm a pink lover and there's usually something pink decorating my world.  Pink's not just a color but an attitude and I try to see the world through rose colored glasses and always look for the pink lining in live.  When life hands me lemons, I try to make pink lemonade.  Feel free to come over for a visit to my blog.  I also love to read and watch movies so I have a few side blogs where I review books and movies.  Otherwise, on my everyday blog featured here, I write about random things in my life, usually aiming for tickling your funny bone pink when possible.  I've recently started dating a new man so I have funny relationship stories.  I'm the mother of a 17 year old boy so there's plenty motherhood material.  I'm also a teacher.  And maybe I should mention I'm a little obsessed with shoes.  Lots and lots of shoes.  It's not wrong to own about 300 pairs, is it?  I like to share humorus stories from my past and overall, I love to write.  So pleased feel free to stop on over at "So these shoes match this purse?" and enjoy!  I'd love to hear from you! ~ Love, Maggie

Thank you, Beverly, for featuring me on this lovely Pink Saturday!  I began blogging because of my love of creating almost out of any form: paper, fabric, glues, tapes.  I just love to use what is on hand and around me and to transform it into something pretty and useful!  I am so often inspired by all the lovely bloggers around me!  I am Suzie Button...and I've confused some who think my last name is actually "Button," no it is not, but insteasd it was a nickname given to me by a former co-worker.  I love to share my life, my art, my dreams and joys with all who visit me.

My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday was something pointed out to me by my sweet husband.  We were in a wonderful gift shop, and he spotted this sign.  He laughed at the sign, and called me to see it.  We both laughed at just how true this is, and then we laughed some more when we saw all of the pink.

Yes, I am up and running on my new computer......still have some glitches now and then, but am sure those will work out over time. It's so wonderful to have a computer that isn't so SLOW!!!

Several trips across town about the computer, then back again to pick up the gr.girl (we took her to a butterfly festival yesterday....found out she's afraid of blue morphos! :).....then back across town to take her home....then back here to crash last night! :)

We just watched Avatar and everyone loved it very much. Caralie bought the movie and is sharing it with us.

Robert and Shirley are going home Tuesday. Andrea and I will be in Tennessee. We are decorating her room. Post fodder huh!!! We have the truck loaded and I am washing all of the linens. I think it will turn out beautiful.

The pink sign just about sums it all up...but I can add a second verse...Mom bought it in the 50's...I used it in the 60's...but it wasn't cool enough for the 80's...garage sale material in the 90's...I forgot about it until I saw it in Country Living last week...so now I'm off to the Antique mall to replace it.
