I love this!!! I would be thrilled to be somewhere when a group of awesome singers burst into song!! The link I'm sending is the one that I received in an e-mail and posted on FB. The opera co. of Philadelphia did the same thing in Macy's. Thanks for your share!! :) What a way to start a Sunday!!!

Amazing Bev. It made me cry, how overwhelming. How to make everyone stop and remember the reason for Christmas.

Where do you find these wonderful videos Bev? Thank you,

Karen

Wonderful! This is happening in several places. I hope it continues and grows and spreads across America. Wonderful!

Natasha

Hi Beverly!

Thank you so very much for visiting both of my blogs and for taking the time to leave a comment; I really appreciate it. Thanks also for linking up your gorgeous music. This is one of my very favourite pieces-so glad you linked this version up-I haven't seen it before!

I was actually also wondering how your week has been? I bet you must be so happy you organised a linky instead of sending out your amazing emails and listing all of the participants for Pink Saturday. I don't know how you did that each week!

Best wishes always,
Natasha.

Isn't that wonderful. It makes me want to jump up and sign with them.

The Hallelujah Chorus is the most gorgeous choral composition ever written!! I have sung in choirs from the time I was about 9 years old. This piece is wonderful to listen to, but even more wonderful to sing. It has always been my favorite piece to perform.

When I first saw a similar video version (it took place in a very large retail store) I had the same reaction as most of those who commented above. Then I discovered three or four other videos of similar events and I realized they were not spontaneous events at all, but actually choir members singing throughout the store. I'm sure some of the shoppers joined in, but mainly they are really singers.

That doesn't change the beauty of the music, but I'd sure like to live in a world where this could happen spontaneously, wouldn't you? (Sigh)

Ginger

What a blessing for these people to be able to witness such joy.
