I can hardly wait to see
all of your posts today.
Welcome to Pink Saturday. Please join us by linking your Pink Saturday post permalink using the linking tool provided at the bottom of this post. This is our second week using the linking tool instead of having a list from e-mail responses. I think this is going to be a fantastic change for all of us. I will have my Pink Saturday post available at 5 p.m. EST every Friday. So, be sure to link and show us your Pink. Be certain to link using your pink post permalink. And please remember to include a link back to my blog within your post so that your visitors will be able to visit here.

Please take the time to visit other participants, and leave a comment to let them know you stopped by to enjoy their pink. Pink Saturday is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet others in the blogging community. I promise you it is worth the effort because you will not only see lots of pink, you will meet incredibly nice and talented people. Please refer to my post dated January 8 for more information about Pink Saturday.
I want to thank those of you that take the time to leave me a comment. I love reading what you all have to say.
Reminder - We have a weekly challenge for you to visit the blog of at least one participant that you have never visited before. Then next Saturday include that blog and a link in your post. Quite a few of you have been done this challenge, and have met some of the great Pink Saturday participants. Thank you for sharing with us.
This week I am featuring the blog of a Pink Saturday participant. This Pink Saturday participant has requested to be a featured blog, and there will be featured blogs each Saturday. Please visit, get to know and say hello to her. She has written the following personal greeting to you.

- 12 ounces fresh raw oysters, undrained
- 1 quart half-and-half or whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Hurrah! I finally got the timing right - 5 hours behind you (I thought I was ahead, no wonder I was always a day late from the US point of view, lol). So this week I finally made it! This week I've done another Christmas background and header, plus 3 downloadable recipe cards to print off, and a link to my Lethal Sherry Trifle recipe.
Happy Pink Saturday Beverly, I'm so happy to be early for a change.

I don't know how I missed that this was a favorite recipe week..so sorry.
Will you have each Sat. thru Dec. event posted on your sidebar? Then, maybe we can keep up with it. There's so many parties this month and I am trying to do 'em all...:)))
Living on the plains of West Texas with no bodies of water for thousands of miles, you might guess that I never developed a taste for sea foods. Oysters, I am thinking, would have to be at the bottom of my list. HOWEVER, I am copying your recipe as Mr. Sweet loves ANYthing from the sea.:))
Thanks for hosting...

No doubt anything you made would be good. This looks very tempting. The only way I eat oysters is fried very well.

My Daddy liked oysters but I never would taste them...so I don't know if I like it or not.
But it looks good, that's for sure.
Merry Christmas, Beverly, and thanks for hosting Pink Saturday for us.

Love your new banner Beverly- really cute! I also like the new linky tool-very cool how it gives you a little pic with the link. I am afraid I'm on of those people who don't like oysters but I know so many people who do that I'm sure I will have an opportunity to pass your recipe along. Love the idea of recipes to share! I put down black walnut bread and if you are a black walnut lover you will love this bread. Take care and thanks for hosting us!

Oh dear sweet Beverly, This post made me so teary-eyed as Oyster stew was something my mom made all the time around Christmas. The wave of nostalgia and sweet memories really squeezed my heart. Most of my siblings hated it...but not me! I love oyster stew...and smoked oysters. I've never made it myself, but now I can copy this recipe and do just that....thank you for always finding moments to bless me with your kind, thoughtful ways! You are a dear one! Xo, Sue
