Pink Saturday Featured Blog
- Deborah at Miss Bee's Haven
Miss Bee is what some of my best friends call me. You see, my name, Deborah, means "bee" in Hebrew. I've always held a fascination for bees. I love photographing them, I collect bee jewelry and bee items.
I enjoy creating a haven for my family, a place to gather , love and be loved. My family is most important to me and I cherish every moment that we are together.
Even though I've been blogging for nearly four years, you will see that I get busy with other things at times. However, I hope you don't give up on me when you see that I'm not on top of my blogging. I'm not 'mis-be-havin'. Probably just playing with my camera or writing some poetry or traveling to some far away destination and I'll be back soon!
I told you we've been having work done in our kitchen. The workers are gone, and now we just have to get everything back together. I hope to be able to share some pictures in the next week or so.

That must have been a fun cookie jar to have in your home when you were little! You probably stared at the outside, wondering what kind of cookies were inside. It's so nice that you were able to find another one to have in your kitchen! And thank you for hosting Pink Saturday, Beverly!
Happy PS!

I love that jar, too, Beverly! Glad you found it....I know it brings you great memories. The first thing I ever bought with S and H green stamps was a vacuum cleaner....we used it for years....and guess what.....it was PINK!!!! My MIL was great....she had saved most of the stamps herself and she shared them with us so we go get the sweeper. The second thing I got with those stamps was a little Bar B Q grill!!! It was the littlest thing ever and would only hold 3 burgers at a time, but we loved it!!
Thanks for the memories!
Have a great Pink Saturday!!

I remember this adorable cookie jar...and I sure remember S&H Green stamps. I just loved them and was so sad when they stopped.
My post if from the past, too. Time slipped up on me...have company and on my way to a basketball game. :))

Bev,
I am totally beginning to think that you and I are twins, separated at birth. Bev, that's my mom's cookie jar. We had that exact one growing up, sitting on top of the refrigerator. Then my sister Lynn broke it by accident. She searched long and hard and then one day there was one just like the one we knew as kids. She bought it for my mom, and guess what? It is sitting on top of her refrigerator in Vermont.
You and I have so many things in common, I just know that some day you and I will meet over tea. Let's wear pink!

Love the cookie jar. I saved S & H Green Stamps and also Blue Chip stamps back in the 50s, 60s and 70s. We still have a lot of things in our home that were acquired with those little stamps. It was fun collecting them and picking out things to get with them.
Happy Pink Saturday.

Hi Beverly, and a very Happy Pink Saturday! I just love the cookie jar - I can't believe you were so lucky you managed to get the exact same one. Fabulous! I remember Green stamps as well - my mother used to have a whale of a time sticking them in. But I can't remember anything as nice as a cookie jar. I think in the UK we got all the boring stuff. All my mother ever got were things like gardening aprons and secateurs!

I SO miss Pink Saturday, Beverly, hope I am done soon with all this packing, and when my stuff will be stored, maybe I will have some quiet time to... think pink!!!
Your cookie jar is beautiful, especially because of the sweet memory of your Mother attached to it. I have many things like that, I mean that remind me of someone or something special, and boy, I cannot get rid of them!! Soooo.... I'm constantly struggling while doing the packing! I WANT to KEEP all!!;))

Hi Bev,
It's okay, I love cookie jars and yours is quite pretty. I wish they still had those stamps to redeem items. But, I bet now a days the items would be junk not like the well made things back in day. Thanks for being our hostess every Sat. Have a great weekend and looking foward to seeing your kitchen.

Wow Beverly, look at all of these wonderful Pinkies who have joined you today! Pink Saturday seems to be bigger than ever-congratulations on bringing so many bloggers together like this each week.
Sorry I haven't been by for a while. My kids are now back at school and we are getting our whole bottom floor of the house tiled this week so we have been cleaning up, ripping up damaged carpets and throwing away lots of water damaged things. The end result will be wonderful but gee it's hard work beforehand!
Well, I had better keep working but hopefully I will be joining you again very soon for Pink Saturday!
Best wishes and thank you so much for your very treasured friendship!

Oh how sweet! Nice to meet you. Your cookie Jar reminds me of one my Grandma had. As a little girl I remember she always had cookies in it. It was a lamb head, with a little hat. When you turned the hat/lid over it made a sheep sound:) Just remebered all that. Thank you for the memory.
