This week I am featuring Dana at The Stone Rabbit. Dana first participated in Pink Saturday June 28, 2008, the fifth week of Pink Saturday. I adore Dana, and I guarantee that you will, too. Dana and I have become blogging and telephone buddies. Dana is a skilled writer, and she has a quick wit. When you visit her there is always a guaranteed smile and sometimes she will have you in the floor laughing until you cry. She is a party planner extraordinaire, and you can expect anything from pink flip-flops to pink false teeth at one of her parties. So do yourself a great big ole favor by meeting Dana. Dana at The Stone Rabbit

If I had to write a Mission Statement about the purpose of my blog, THE STONE RABBIT, I'd be in a world of trouble. My blog is just about WHATEVER I feel like sharing at any given moment. I'm not a decorator, cook, artist, photographer, deep thinker, writer or world traveler. I'm just a wife, mom, MIL, nana, aunt, sister, niece, SIL and friend ---- who found out how much fun it is to have a blog and how great it is to include the people in my life, my furry friends, my interests and my concrete buddy in the posts I create.

I typically like to keep my posts "light". . . with a bit of humor tossed in. You rarely find serious stuff at my link. So maybe my blog mission statement would read: "it's an escape. . . . for those who read it and for me who writes it!!" :)

PINK SATURDAY. Who would have thought those two words would come to mean so much in the lives of so many? I know they are very important in my life because they challenge me, every Saturday, to come up with a post which some how, some way incorporates a little PINK!

Like many of you, PINK wasn't a commonly seen color in my house. However, when I first signed up to participate in Pink Saturday, June 28, 2008, I had so much fun putting together my post about a roll of Pink ribbon that I just knew it would be an event I would continue to enjoy.....week after week!!! I haven't counted the number of Pink Saturday posts I've written, but I know I haven't missed a one since my very first contribution. And through those weekly posts, spanning nearly three years now, I have "met" some of the most amazing bloggers and readers.

So, thank you Beverly, for being the reason we all gather here each week. Thank you for spending the time organizing this large group of bloggers so we might create Posts of Pink and share them with others.

My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday is finally a few pictures of my kitchen. Today I am sharing pictures of touches of pink in my kitchen. Please come back Monday because I will be sharing pictures of the evolution of my kitchen as part of Metamorphosis Monday at Between Naps On The Porch.

First off, please have a piece of chocolate while we visit.

You all know my cookie jar and pink depression glass biscuit jar.

I keep k-cups of spiced tea in the biscuit jar.

We can have tea and cookies if you are hungry.

Or maybe you would rather have a banana from my pink fruit bowl.

The bananas are closely guarded by my pink feathered rooster.

I've got my pink polka-dot coffee mug ready to sip my coffee.

And, there is my pretty dish towel with pink hearts.

Please don't take notice of the spots where I dripped coffee.

This vintage cruet and salt and pepper set belong to my mother.

And, the bottle is filled with pink grapefruit dish liquid.

I almost always have flowers in my kitchen.

These are pink-tinged alstroemeria.

They are a favorite, and they are so long-lasting.

This pretty teapot was left to me by my Aunt Alice. It is now a forever treasure.

And, you must recognize my famous pink rooster.

Here's a pretty pink wreath hanging on the door leading to our sunroom.

You'll also find touches of pink in these rose prints in the breakfast room.

I hope you enjoyed pink peeping in my kitchen.

Hi Beverly, I found the entire world of blogging because I was searching online for Nell Hill paint, and google turned up a Stone Rabbit post of a visit to Nell Hills with a pink pillow and a link to a Pink Saturday party--I couldn't believe what I had found!!! I would LOVE to have a cookie and some tea with you.....wouldn't that be fun? I so enjoyed seeing all of your pink pretties in your kitchen....I'm crazy about those prints!!! Love em!!! I have to be on the hunt for a pink polkadot cup, too!! Oh and those are my favorite flowers.....they are beautiful and they last forever. I never remember their name, however!! :)

I love seeing your home, and especially like the teapot---those look much like the Sadler roses on the tiny teapot I tipped off a shelf. And don't fresh flowers make SUCH a difference in a room?
