This week I am featuring Melissa at The High Altitude Tea Duchess. Melissa first participated in Pink Saturday August 16, 2008 with her blog Melissa's Cozy Teacup. She then began participating again March 2010 with her new blog. Melissa knows and shares so many wonderful and interesting items about tea, and she is a lover of beautiful things.
Take a minute to go meet Melissa, and please introduce yourself.
You'll be glad you did. Melissa has written the following personal message to you.
- Melissa at The High Altitude Tea Duchess
Hello dear Pink Saturday friends. My name is Melissa. My blog is called The High Altitude Tea Duchess (I live at 6500 ft.! ). My first post was March 29th, 2010. My one year anniversary is coming up soon. I had another blog before this one called, Melissa's Cozy Teacup. I stopped blogging for about a year and decided to comeback into it again because I missed it.
I am an artist (or getting there!) I sometimes post what I am painting on my blog. I enjoy reading (I have also written and self published a tea related romance), tea (of course) my church, my blog-o-sphere friends, photography and writing. I have also started a tea company called; MJB Teas . Presently, I am only selling loose leaf tea. I want to encourage you to take time to invite someone over to your home for a cup of tea. Happy Pink Saturday!

Please e-mail me if you are interested in being
the featured blog at a future date.
My pink contribution for today is this pretty jar of flowers on my desk at home. I am looking at them as I prepare this post. One of my dear friends gave me this wonderful canning jar. It was one of a case of these that her dear father gave her many years ago. I am so honored that she shared one with me.

Happy Pink Saturday!
Love the colour combo of these flowers and the jar. Stunning! Are those Gerbera?

Hi Beverly!
I adore your flowers: so pretty and bright, and a lovely container too. I had a bit of trouble with Mr Linky - my picture didn't take for some reason. Oh well... I made a blinkie for everyone, so probably that's why the pic didn't take?
Happy Pink Saturday - hooray, it's finally Spring!

What a great combination. I love looking for unique and intriguing and different containers to use as vases and this definitely "fits the bill." I have a good friend who used to buy these jars to use for drinking glasses. She loved them because they were huge, interesting, and not too expensive. I'll have to share this photo with her. I have a jar exactly like ours, Beverly. I use mine to keep "parking lot pennies." I follow in my mama's footsteps in the habit of picking up pennies in parking lots. My jar is over half full. I often wonder why pennies are the almost the only coins we ever see that people have dropped. Happy Pink Saturday.

Jeepers what an honor to put flowers in a mason jar in rememberance. Such a lovely idea! When I was a teenager working my first full-time job I used to purchase roses for $1.00 at the "L" station. It was a special treat for myself. Perhaps I should purchase flowers again or pick some from my garden when they are blooming and use a rememberance vase on my desk. Beverly, thank you for being the hostess for Pink Saturday.
