Beverly, We are adding our deck onto our sunroom. The framework is done and will putting on the top after the 4th. Your deck looks like "Trex", that's what we're using. This would be a perfect planter for us. Thank you for sharing the link. Your planter looks wonderful--gorgeous flowers.

What a lovely retreat!!! Quiet and contemplative and so beautiful---and the view is wonderful, as well. Just a perfect spot for rest and meditation, or reading or a porch-nap in the sunshine. The planter is almost a piece of sculpture---just beautiful.

it's beautiful Beverly! i love to see deck rail planters ... they just brighten up the outside of the house so much! from what i can see, the little blue flowers look like what we call paint brushes, i don't know what the real name is, but that's what we call them!

Love this planter!!!! What a smart idea! I'm no flower expert, but the little blue/purple flowers look like Ageratum? I've killed lots of them over the years! :) Actually, I can almost hear them screaming "no, no" when I pick them up at the nursery! :)

Beverly... I think Dana is correct... I think your flower is Ageratum or as it is commonly called 'Blue Danube'. It's one of my favorite bedding plants (mostly because it will actually grow in S. Texas). Your planter is beautiful.

I wasn't going to post to Blue Monday today, until I stopped by Sally's and read her grandaughter's post. Sending a prayer in a circle of prayers.

Blessings. Dixie

ps... Hope to be in on a Pink Saturday soon!

Beverly, you already have the prettiest yard around. Now this planter on the deck rail just sets everything off.
