This week I am featuring Nicole at 180 Degrees for Single Moms. Nicole is quite an amazing young woman. She is a single mother who loves God and her family. Last August, my mother bought me a copy of Artful Blogging for my birthday because I had just shared with her my long-buried dream of wanting to be a writer one day. My favorite article in the magazine was the one about Beverly’s “Pink Saturday” posts. Without hesitation, I clicked over to http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ and was immediately blessed by Beverly’s ideas, the creative blogs featured there, and all of the stunning pictures. After several month of contemplation, this January I finally had the courage to start a blog of my own with an emphasis on encouraging single mothers through the ups and downs of turning their lives around (like I am in the process of doing).
Although I am not an artist or antique collector like many of you, I like to express my creativity—and reach out to others—through words. I am passionate about helping single moms move forward in a positive direction by gaining strength from God and looking at the “pink” side of their circumstances. Oh, and I share many of your interests, too. I love having tea with friends, knitting with Mom (there’s me showing off her pink felted “hat-band” above), decorating my home, and gathering cherry collectables!
My whole family is on board with “Pink Saturday” now, and they are on the look-out for pink in our corner of the world. My pink contribution for today is a collection of pictures taken or inspired by various members of my family.

Hi Beverly, I put my post together in record time considering how slow my computer is for uploading my photos. Congrats to SueSue for winning the most beautiful giveaway in honor of three years of Pink Saturday. I know she is thrilled.
Nicole's feature is very nice. She is a real sweet and pretty single mom. I like the way she thinks too.
I am sitting in the RV laundry room and realizing how much laundry we used in such a short time. Can you believe it cost $15.00 to do the three loads. I love my washer and dryer so much more now. HA!
One of the dryers just quit so I have to close.

The point is not the PINK color, or any other color. The point is that we all have here a global friendly communication, thru images and words. Pink is just a common interest. :)
