Hello fellow pink aficionados! My name is William Charlebois. I’m one of the few guys who are brave enough to create blog posts for Beverly’s Pink Saturdays. I love creating digital art, but also create multimedia paintings, chunky books, ATC’s, and whatever else the muse may inspire. I especially love creating zetti and steampunk pieces. I’ll have Beverly post one or two of my digital pictures here so you can get an idea of my style. Sometimes I get pretty crazy!

 

 

By the way, I also love to write. I write poetry that I include in many of my pictures. I also wrote a sci-fi/fantasy novel titled "Dragon Vapors" that you will find advertised in the sidebar of my blog. If you should by chance choose to read that, you'll find out what real craziness is!

 

I was thrilled when Beverly asked me to be the “featured blog” for this Saturday. I hope you will surf over and see what I’ve posted. I’m afraid I got up on my soapbox, though. Like a previously featured blogger, I get really upset when I hear people say, “Blue is for boys, and pink is for girls.”  Why, Dusty Rose was the main color of our wedding when my wife and I got married 31 years ago! This is one of the roses

 

growing in our garden.

 

I love the color combination of

 

yellow and pink.

 

And, the pink becomes even

 

more prevalent as the bloom ages.

Brunch At Guglhupf

Recently my husband and I had brunch at Guglhupf.  We had a free weekend morning, and we knew just where we wanted to dine.

Guglhupf Bakery & Patisserie opened here in November 1998 to enthusiastic customers standing in a line snaking out to the parking lot, and we were in that line.  And, in September 2004 doors opened to the long anticipated Guglhupf Café in its architecturally unique building adjacent to the bakery.

Order at the counter, and they bring your meal to your table.

 

 

I ordered a frittata with caramelized onions, green tomatoes and gruyere cheese.

It came with a fruit cup and roll.

 

 

My husband ordered a French dip that came with a mixed greens salad.

 

 

We always enjoy being together,

and

Guglhupf offers great ambience.

 

 

And, they exhibit wonderful artwork.

 

 

We visited the bakery on our way out,

and purchased croissants and danish for breakfast the next morning.
