Pink Saturday Featured Blog

 

This week I am featuring Susan at My Place to Yours.  Susan first participated in Pink Saturday on August 2010, and she is someone that you are going to like.  Why?  Because not only does she love so many of the same things we all love, she has a good and giving heart.  Now, get on over to say hello and introduce yourself.  Susan is someone you will be glad you took the time to get to know.

Thank you, Beverly! What a treat it is for My Place to Yours to be this week’s Pink Saturday feature blog. Since the very first time I joined Pink Saturday with Burn the Pink Candle back in August of 2010, I have enjoyed keeping my eyes open for pinks to share with Pink Saturday readers. I’ve also enjoyed seeing all of yours!

Like many of you, I discovered blogging almost reluctantly, but I quickly grew to realize that, in many ways, it’s what I’ve been waiting for all my life. It’s given me a great way to combine the many parts of “me” -- faith, love of family, children, old houses, interior design, vintage linens and dishes, and (a total surprise to me) photography. Blogging encourages me to look around me – really look. It’s so easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of life and miss the beauty …

 

I especially love the chance to “play in the dishes and linens” -- then post tablescapes that hopefully encourage and inspire my readers. Some of my tablescape pretties even end up in my Etsy shop!

 

Finally, I share things that inspire me -- like children once hopeless now vibrantly alive with bright futures thanks to the life-transforming work of my favorite charity, Hope Unlimited for Children. In fact, Hope Unlimited is directly linked to Why I Blog in the first place.

 

But today, it’s Pink Saturday – and my post this week was already “in the works” when Beverly invited me to be featured here. I really hope you’ll stop by to read it – and tell me what’s on your Sally List. (Trust me … it’s not your “typical” to-do list!)

Whew..what a fun, but tiring day!! We shopped and ate and shopped and ate and shopped!!! :) I didn't find a lot this year, but that's OK...I came home with some money still in my purse.

Hi Beverly, Thanks for another interesting Pink Saturday. What a cute commercial. It won't sway me from AT&T coz all my Sandwich Generation family is there, with discounts for that, but it was definitely pink-i-liciously fun. :) Have a blessed and not too cold week.
