Aren't those floats amazing??!!!! I have friends who live right there where the parade takes place and they get to see the floats as they pass by for the start of the parade. They keep asking us to visit for The Rose Bowl and New's Year. Not sure what I am waiting for. Yep, Jenny would love the pigs! :) HPS Beverly!

So fun to see the Rose Parade Float. My husband marched in that parade when he was in high school and my dad always got us up early to watch it, so it holds a dear spot in my heart.

There we go.....it all loaded this time. Must've been sun spots or something interfering with our connection earlier!

LOVE your pig float! I totally missed the Rose Bowl parade this year....I thought it was on NYear's Day, so when we weren't home to watch it on Sunday, I didn't give it a thought about watching it on Monday!

We just returned from seeing Mission Impossible....a real manly kind of a show! :) Actually, it was very good....lots of action and twists in the story line. Tom looked mighty fine, cept for his dark hair color ....it wasn't a good dye job. We ate Gates Bar B Q afterwards....one of the big names in KC food. It was OK....my favorite around here is Jack Stack, but they aren't close.

OK..gotta go watch the Cotton Bowl. I like both teams and don't care who wins.

Hi Beverly...Thanks for sharing the Rose Bowl Float! I missed the whole thing...the Parade and the Game...they messed with the schedule this year...don't they know nuthin'...The Rose Bowl is suppose to be on New Years Day!!!! It sure didn't help the Cowboys...playing on New Years Day...they may as well have been at the Rose Bowl Parade throwin' Yellow Roses at the Giants. Oh well, gotta love JJones and Cowboy Stadium...it's amazing...just wish the Cowboys were. Thanks for always making Saturdays Pink!

Good Morning and Happy (Pink Saturday) New Year! Before I forget it, I'm link #114 today. I chose to link with the photo of Mom's sewing basket, not just because it represented my post well, but because I mention the fact there's a yellow spool showing, and that yellow is your favorite color. I probably think about that every Pink Saturday I participate in. I find it fun to see how many people do or don't know that. I also ponder how unique and challenging it is to go against the flow of your favorite color. That said, thanks for stopping by last weekend and mentioning what flower you believed I was featuring (that resembled yours). You asked if they were fragrant - I don't remember. :( The photo was an older photo. But, I so enjoyed your visit! Thank you! Did I get everything said? :) Oh, except for thanks for Pink Saturday! Beverly, thanks for posting one of the Rose Bowl floats...this year's schedule with the parade being the next day was a break with our usual New Year's Day pattern...watching the parade in my pajamas while the black eyed peas simmer in the kitchen...evidently when NYD falls on Sunday, the parade is always postponed until Monday...I never remember that happening. those flying Pink pigs were so cute. Have a Pink week.

Beverly, The float you chose to share is the exact one I wanted to take a photo of when I was watching the parade. I couldn't put my hands on my camera at that moment and didn't get it. Great minds... I loved this float.

I was at Carmen's for a rare visit. We had coffee and shared old memories. When Randy moves out this week I will have my sister back again. They arrive home from their honeymoon tomorrow. Life is good.
