This week for Pink Saturday

I am sharing this photo of me and my daddy.

It was made in 1958 at Cypress Gardens,

and I was five yers old.

I had just talked my mother into letting me get my

waist length hair cut because it was so hot.

She said she cried and cried, but I loved it.

You can probably tell from this photo that

I was a "Daddy's Girl", and an only child.

The two of us had a "mutual admiration society".

He was a wonderful father to me.

He has been gone twenty-six years,

and I still miss him so much.♥

That picture just melts my heart.....what a treasure!!! You certainly favored your dad at that age! I see he was holding what looks like a movie camera....you come from a techy background, that's for sure!! :)

That is such a cute pic of you with your Daddy! I lost my Daddy two years ago (almost to the day). Father's Day that year was just two days after his passing. It was a very hard day. I still miss him so much, but the pain is easier to bear now. I was a Daddy's girl too (and an only child). My first haircut was at age 10. I wanted it cut into a bob. My Mom saved my ponytail. I loved my new hair cut but was concerned that my Scottie dog Bonnie would not recognize me. Kids worry about the silliest things! Happy Pink Saturday Beverly. You already know how much I look forward to this party all week!!

I absolutely love that picture of you and your father. He looks like an awesome dad. Mine has also been gone a long time - 27 years this last January. He was a wonderful father to us four kids, and when I see my son with his little girl, I think of how much these two men were/are alike in being caring, loving men to their children. So Happy Father's day to all those wonderful men who are daddies to little girls (no matter how big they become).

I adore the photo of you and your dad. I know you had a special relationship with your dad. He was a wonderful and fun, not to leave out, 'very handsome' guy, that everyone loved. From one "Daddy's girl" to another, I loved today's post. What a sweet picture and what a lovely memory! Did every family in the USA have that same little Kodak movie camera? My son is after me to drag out all the home movies so he can convert them to a more modern format. We laughed when we remembered we had already converted some of them back in the 80's...they are now on the much improved Beta tapes! What a laugh! Loved the sharing of your Father's Day picture. And I've been having fun doing a few of the puzzles...my times are dismal, but they are fun.

Beverly the picture of you and your Father is so touching. I just love the look on both your faces. It speaks volumes for the relationship you shared. I too lost my Father 15 years ago. I long for the days when we would go fishing together in his little fishing boat and listen to the Red Sox games on the radio at dusk. Special times, special memories. Happy Pink Father's day!
