Isn't this the most wonderful song. I had the eight track with this song on it! ;)
Did you know I'll get to meet Jeanne next Monday after she visits with her cousin in Houston? I'm so excited! Wish you were coming along too.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

One of my favorites for sure...in fact the whole album. On that album 'Cecilia' is my very very favorite. In 1970 'Cecilia was the theme song for the National Volleyball Team I played on from Texas. We played it during warmups and at the National Collegiate Finals in Los Angeles we had the whole gym rockin' out and shouting Go Texas Gals!!! BTW...we won the National Collegiate Title and went on to win the United States VB Association Tournament in Honolulu that same year! Great memories and special Simon and Garfunkle times. I called him Garfunky before funky was a word...LOL!!!

I love this song and I have even introduced a new generation to S&G. I played "I am a Rock" to my year 9 English students when we were doing a poetry unit and they loved them!

Thank you so much for linking this song up to my Tuesday Tune Party. I'm so thrilled you linked up the other songs too. The more the merrier!

Hope your week has been great so far. I'm counting down 'til Friday and three weeks of winter vacation!

Best wishes and thanks again Beverly!
Natasha.

  • Hope is the thing with feathers
    That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without words,
    And never stops at all.
