This week I am featuring Dorothy at Hensrule.  You know how you meet someone online, and you have a feeling you would fast be friends?  That is just what I thought when I first met Dorothy.

Dorothy is a librarian.  I always love a librarian.  When I was a very young child, I wanted to be a librarian when I grew up.  So, Dorothy loves books, and I love books.  You see?  Instant friends.

Hi Everyone, my name is Dorothy. Beverly is featuring my blog www.hensrule.blogspot.com  at Pink Saturday this week.

I'm a librarian so my blog is mostly about books. I also blog about my flower garden and of course, my little sweet dachshund, Ms. Wilma. She is the joy of my life. I collect vintage dolls and doll furniture so sometimes you may see some of those too.

This week for Pink Saturday

I am sharing my absolute favorite rose.

This is Garden Party.

For me, it has everything.

I can't even begin to describe the smell.

It is consuming.

It is a prolific bloomer.

It is beautiful in the bud stage

and

equally beautiful fully open.

 

And, the best part is that

I have a whole bed of Garden Party.

Oh, how I envy your roses. How healthy and glossy the leaves look, and so full of perfect flowers. (The Pacific Northwest is VERY challenging for roses, as they do not like the damp conditions and are very prone to blackspot and mildew.) I hope you bring big armloads inside for yourself. Hi Beverly, better late than never they say. I was exhausted after working in the yard all day yesterday. It was worth the effort though. I didn't get home until nearly five today. I want to take a nap but I will be better off getting some rest by going to bed early.

Your rose is stunning and the white roses are beautiful in bloom. I'm so glad you shared this photo of them. My pink roses are so full they are leaning on the ground. I need to trim them but I ran out of time AND ENERGY!!! Soon!
