Gabriela at Gabriela Delworth is having a giveaway. Here is a message from Gabriela.
I have decided to sell my own PDF tutorials and e-books. And I am introducing the very first one this Friday! It is called Cupcake Liner Tutu Ballerina tutorial. It's a great idea to make a cake topper, in fact I super cute one. It only costs U$5.00I hope you like it.
I am also having a giveaway and two readers will win the kit that goes with the tutorial. Fun, huh? They just need to leave a comment and tell us why should they win, if they are baking a special birthday cake or planning a party.
I am only selling the PDF via Paypal but occasional kits will be available for who might be interested interested.
Thank you!
Warmest regards,
Gabriela Delworth

I have two Crepe Myrtles, but they have never been as pretty as yours. However, with the terrible heat we are having, nothing looks good.

This is a sweet post, Beverly. I love anything that reminds me of my grandmothers. I'm surprised to learn that Crepe Myrtles aren't found in Florida; I just assumed they grew all throughout the south. They are wonderful trees (pretty in fall, too). We are hoping to plant some in our backyard perhaps this fall.
Thank you again for hosting Pink Saturday and have a wonderful weekend!

I love crepe myrtles, Beverly! I first saw them on a trip to Vigrinia in Colonial Williamsburg and wanted to plant a couple in my front yard when I returned. Alas, I found out they won;t survive the harsh NYC winters.
Happy Pink Saturday!

Happy Pink Saturday Beverly. Watermelon Red is my favorite color crepe myrtle and we have them surrounding the pool. This year they are particularly fluffy and pretty. Ours have been through the wringer so I am very fond of them. When we redid the pool they were dug up and the root balls were kept in the lake for two months until the pool was finished and they could be replanted. The first two years they didn't look so hot but they recovered and are now beautiful again, in fact even better. We had a couple of volunteers come up this summer. One I will leave where it is and the other we are digging up this Fall and carrying it to my son's new home. So he'll have a little piece of Va. and home in his garden. xoxxo

Hi Beverly, I love the crepe myrtles..they grow pretty well in Southern California, we planted one in the backyard of our house here in the desert, it's done 'ok' not great but not dead..We keep watering it and it does bloom..It will take longer to grow into a fabulous tree than we will live here most likely..anyway yours are gorgeous..

Hey there! Happy Pink Saturday! Thank you for your visit, comment and compliment! Much appreciated.
If you look at my link today, you'll see I have pink flowers and a yellow sunflower vase! Got my pink AnD yellow in again.
My post mentions that my husband brought me those flowers last weekend. When I asked him what-for? He told me - with a grin - "Pink Saturday" ! Such a funny guy. (Love him!)
I usually post my link - read your post and then visit - but I just have time to post my link - I'll come back later to see your post and visit others.
Anyway - hope you're doing well and enjoying your rose beds to the max!

Me too - Crepe Myrtles and my grandmother - or at least the drive down her street and her comments about them. Always "The Crepe Myrtles are blooming" . . . it's interesting how a few words from someone you love while driving down the street can foster more wonder and beauty in those Crepe Myrtles. Mom always says it . . I say it . . . wonderful memories. (We've got a few of them and mom has one that goes crazy w/blooms every now and then.)
Happy Pink Saturday!
(PS I came back to read your post!)

What gorgeous images today, Beverly. Your Crepe Myrtles look like Bougainvilleas. I live in South Florida surrounded by them and have a huge one in our backyard. Very similar indeed.
Great giveaways today. Must head on over to visit each.
Happy pinks, love!!! And thank you for stopping by the shop earlier this week.
XOXO's,
Marcia

Gosh, Beverly, those are beautiful crepe myrtles...they look like trees. The color happens to be my favorite too. You know they do grow really well 'Deep In The Heart of Texas'. In fact they are blooming right now along with my featured Deep In The Heart of Texas Sage! Thanks for visiting my Blogiversary Post and leaving such a sweet comment. You know I feel the same about you and Pink Saturday. What a blessing you are to me and so many! Happy Pink Saturday, my dear friend!

Good morning Beverly, I have a few quiet moments right now and I am here to tell you your crepe myrtle trees are stunning. They look so pretty lining your driveway. I want to get some for our yard. I have had a crepe myrtle in in Jupiter and Kissimmee. Both were the deep pink. I think they are very pretty trees. Lucky you to have such a gorgeous landscaping plan in your yard. Although, I realize it has nothing to do with 'luck.' Smile.
I finally posted last night. There has been no time for my computer. I'm taking Bobbie to Cafe Rel today for lunch and then to a very large antique store. Then home because Bobbie has a bad back and can only walk for a short time.
Maybe tomorrow we can go to the Balsam Inn. It will be our last day. We have had fun talking over so many memories.
I have missed talking to you very much. This will be my last company for a while. Probably until Thanksgiving. I will say... company is great motivation for getting the weeds pulled around here. HA! That is a good thing.
Love you bunches,
Jeanne
