Hi Beverly, Yes I am. It is feeling like Autumn here with all the rain we have had. It will be raining again today. Fall is my favorite time of the year. It has been my fave since I was old enough to know what Fall was. The beautiful leaves have always held a fascination for me.
I missed talking to you yesterday because it was a long busy day. I met with the garden club officers for breakfast, came home and went bowling, came home and took a nap and left at 6:30 to meet with the town's Alderman meeting to ask for funds for our club. We will get some funds so that was good... so we went out with about 7 members to celebrate and talk about our success. I arrived home after 10:00. Big day.
Wishing you happy days my dearest friend.
Love you, Jeanne

It is one of my favorite times....I am just not quite ready for it. I feel in limbo in the rental home, just floating through the days until I have a home of my own again.

I usually want to hang on to summer a little longer but the heat has about "done us in"...yes, ma'am, fall will be nice. It will be very hot here for at least another month, tho. My favorite time of the year...winter...with fires in the fireplace, warm, snuggly throws, comfort foods, hot cocoa......

MMMMMMMM-HMMMMMMM, YOU BETCHA!
But not til after Sunday, which I've been watching on the Weather thingie for as long as it was close enough to register---it's supposed to be SUNNY and 72/54---pretty close to a Fall NIGHT, anyway, but a bright, cheerful day. I've planned this tea party for so long, melted into Fall and Winter every year and didn't get around to it, and now it's almost here. It's totally ridiculous, to look forward to something like this---I have maybe ONE MORE party in my Energy-and-Can-Do Banks, and I want THIS one.
But Fall, now---all the Farm Markets and the goldening hillsides and the drives through sun-spattered orange and yellow, as the branches almost touch the car and the fresh cider and a trip to Waterman's to take the big Hay-Wagon out into the field to pick out our pumpkins, with assorted chillun in tow---now THAT'S Fall that I never knew when I lived in the South. You can close your eyes with the sparkle-shadows and the air feels like water across your skin.
I love Fall. It's my favorite.

Yes! I am ready for Autumn and it will be here in 7-8 weeks. Until then I will make lists of things to do in the garden when Autumn arrives.

Hi Beverly. That photo is gorgeous! I love Autumn, but I love summer too. So it's always a bittersweet time for me to let go of summer and know that winter lies just ahead. Not a fan of Old Man Winter. Ugh. :)
