My preps are not moving along too fast. . .but I have recovered from last weekend's busyness so I hope to make great headway soon. . .reallllll soon! :)
BTW. . .I LOVE your new banner!!! I'm sure it's been there for several days....I'm not always that observant!
Isn't it awesome news about Grace's journal? I'm so happy for her. . .would have loved to have seen her face when the fed ex guy presented it to her!!
Hope you have a great Wednesday! It's gonna be another warm day in KCMO, then it starts to cool down. . . ending with some snow on Monday (maybe. . .hope not!!!)

Normally I have my tree up and the decorations done on Thanksgiving weekend. Then I baked Christmas cookies, schedule a couple of small dinner parties and make plans to go to the Biltmore Estate.
This year, I am painting and unpacking-lol. But we still are going to a couple of dinner parties and the Inn on Biltmore Estate for dinner one night. I hope to be pretty settled in a few weeks and will probably decorate the mantel.
Hugs,
Penny

All the gifts are purchased! I still have one smallish quilt to make for a grandchild (since I started in June, I have already finished the other 5). And then there are about a half dozen clutch purses to make, but those will be a breeze and a pleasure. DGD is coming over this afternoon to help put ornaments on the tree, and I have one more box of decorations to place out. Woo-hoo! As far as baking and cooking, this weekend I will make the Kahlua, and will bake cookies a few days before Christmas so I am not tempted all month! Going to go put Michaels Buble on the CD player while we decorate the tree!

I've done the house, except for the tree. I no longer bake cookies or make candy, but I will buy some plenty. I shopped on Cyber Monday and bought all the gifts (real bargains, too!) except for gift cards.
I still have presents to wrap; however, I did mail the out of town one.
(sigh) I think I'll take a nap.

"Beyond" would be my status... When you teach in France, December is a nightmare of meetings every night ( parents nights for every single level you teach, staff meetings...) so every year, I'm overwhelmed by how late I'm to be ready!!!
