This photo was taken in 1957.

 

My mother was 29, and I was 5.

 

This is how I remember her

 

when I was a child.

 

I thought she was so beautiful.

 

And, I still think she is beautiful.

What's My Question Wednesday and Genealogy

 

My question for the day is

I have been researching

 

 

our families

 

 

since I was eight years old.

 

 

My husband loves it, too.

 

 

 

 

 

Actinic Keratosis

 

I just finished seventeen days of a 21-day

 

Carac chemotherapy treatment

 

for Actinic Keratosis.

 

My reaction was too intense,

 

and had to be discontinued on day eighteen.

 

 

Actinic Keratosis can be a common skin condition for those living in sunny climates,

 

and I spent most of my life in South Florida.

 

I am very fair complected,

 

and most would not have noticed that I had facial sun damage.

 

 

This treat regimen is not for sissies.

 

And, the lesson here is to

 

protect your skin from the sun.

 

 

I am now in the healing phase

 

which takes approximately three weeks.

 

I am so grateful that this is over.

 

Going to work looking like this every day was tough.

 

I count my blessings that my condition

 

was treated before it became more serious.

 

 

I am including a short video

 

explaining the different treatments

 

for Actinic Keratosis.

 

I was on the Carac treatment.

and he passed away early this morning.

 

Mike loved God, his family and his country.

This week for Pink Saturday

I am sharing this photo of me and my daddy.

It was made in 1958 at Cypress Gardens,

and I was five yers old.

I had just talked my mother into letting me get my

waist length hair cut because it was so hot.

She said she cried and cried, but I loved it.

You can probably tell from this photo that

I was a "Daddy's Girl", and an only child.

The two of us had a "mutual admiration society".

He was a wonderful father to me.

He has been gone twenty-six years,

and I still miss him so much.♥

Everyday is sweeter with a little frosting, especially if it's Pink!

I am coming to you from my cozy craft studio

at the beautiful Jersey Shore.

 

I am a true crafter & treasure hunter at heart. I can't remember a

time when I  haven't been excited about crafting & creating. My

mom is an expert seamstress & needleworker so I think I come by it

honestly. Also, I love filling my home with vintage treasures so I

head out to the flea markets every chance I get.

Here is my craft room filled with inspiration, vintage finds for

re-purposing & every craft supply under the sun!

This space is well used and truly loved.

 I will be sharing some of my favorite things today at

My husband is the best ever.

 

I asked him for an idea for a song for

 

Valentine's Day, and he suggested this

 

by Paul McCartney Sunday night on the Grammy's.
