A few weeks ago I showed you My Sweet Cherub Limoges Box, and you asked me to show you some more of my collection. Today I am sharing the typewriter.
Most of my Limoges boxes were gifts from my family, but I actually purchased this one myself. It reminded me of an old typewriter that belonged to my father, and it struck a soft spot in my heart. I wonder what became of his old typewriter.
I learned to type in high school on a manual typewriter. We only had
two electric typewriters in our typing class, and we had to take turns
using them. Each student ending up getting about one turn per month.
Be sure to notice the latch on this box is made to look like a quill, and a lovely feather design is painted inside.
I don't know how you feel, but I am totally spoiled by my computer. How did we ever manage to accurately prepare papers without a backspace and delete key?
