Today is an important day for America. It is the day in which the leadership of our wonderful country passes from one man to another. I believe it is our duty as citizens of the United States of America to respect our president, and we need to rally together for the common good. I don't feel this is the way it has been in quite a long time, and I hope that all of the talk of being one nation is true. The problems in our country did not all come about because of the last eight years or because of one man, nor can they be fixed by one man. That is too much to ask. Instead, it is time to stop blaming. We need to work together to make this wonderful country everything that those that have gone before us worked so hard to make.
Thank you, President Bush
and
God be with President Obama.
Long, long ago on December 9 Sally at Smiling Sally tagged me with an addiction tag. And ... here I am over one month later finally responding to the tag. Let's just go with the better late than never philosophy. Okay?!
I'm supposed to list five addictions, so here goes:
- Crushed ice - Yes, crushed ice. Now, you might think I mean I like to eat crushed ice, but the real issue is I want crushed ice in whatever I am drinking.
- Caffeine-free Diet Pepsi with fresh lime - I love this, but I have it as a treat.
- My computer - And, I'm not the only one. I am pathetic when it malfunctions.
- Fresh pineapple - Yum! I can eat this every day.
- Reading - And, I will stay up all night to finish a book. This is the current read.
