My Husband Says ...

that the dogwood trees are always in bloom at Easter.  And, in the thirty-eight years we have been married, he has been correct every year.

This is the view out of our bedroom window.  Just look at these gorgeous blooms.

Excuse the little bit of porch roof showing, but it was just too pretty not to share.

Blue Monday - Fenton

It's time to visit Sally and the other participants of Blue Monday.

Today I am sharing another piece of our Fenton Art Glass.  This is a hand-painted fan-shaped vase with dauphin handles.  It measures seven inches across and six inches high.  It is the prettiest shade of blue, and has an iridized glaze.  It is signed by the artist.

Pink Saturday - April 4, 2009

Happy Pink Saturday!

I want to thank you all for your prayers for my mother.  We are still praying for healing.  The anticipated healing time is six to eight weeks.  This is a difficult time, and it really hurts to see my mother in pain.

Also, please understand that I am not going to be able to visit today.  I did this post last night while my husband could listen for my mother, but I will not be able to visit today because I will have to stay near her.

My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday are these beautiful azalea blooms.  Spring is my favorite time of the year.  These blooms are left to right:  Coral Bells, H Hume and Christmas Cheer.

 

This week we have one hundred sixty-two (162) participants in Pink Saturday.  There are nine new participants this week, and you will find them at the bottom of the list.  Let's all take time to welcome them to Pink Saturday.  It seems that so many of us have fun with the color pink.  I hope you are all enjoying this as much as I am.

I'm just sitting here reminding myself of all my blessings.  And, I do have so many. 
But, I'm feeling in a bit of a funk - mostly because I'm so tired.

My mother's x-rays revealed no change - which is what they were hoping.  The current plan is that we are still praying for healing, which could take about eight weeks.  Her shoulder break is so severe it would require complete joint replacement.  That is an incredibly tough surgery and recovery - even for a much younger person.  Your continued prayers and thoughtful comments mean more than you could know.  Thank you.
