Do you recall that several months ago I told you about my quest for a perfect rooster pillow for our breakfast room? I had been looking for several years, and I think I had become so set on the image I had in my mind, that I couldn't find a pillow to suit me.
Well, you all were great. It was like you each picked up on the features I wanted, and you gave me great leads. In fact, Penny at The Comforts of Home, found what is now my Perfect Rooster Pillow. The pillow is an 18x18 French Aubusson with lovely fringe and a gold velvet backing.
Our breakfast room has an antigue round oak clawfoot table, and we have four oak side chairs around it. Then when our darling grandson came into our lives, we needed another chair. I found a chair at an unfinished furniture store which we painted a pretty yellow-gold. We keep the chair by the wall, and when our little fellow is here, he gets "his" chair. All of these years I have been thinking I needed something pretty to sit in that chair when it wasn't in use. And, now I have that something pretty.
And, here is the now happy chair. Notice how the new pillow has the rooster and pink roses similar to the rug under the table. It's just perfect.
