The surprising part of this post is that I actually remembered to take pictures before we sat down for dinner. I'm prone to forgetting.
My son and grandson come to dinner at our home on Sundays. My grandson calls it our Sunday Family Dinner. Since we were still in the holiday season this past Sunday, I decided to go with a "Christmasy" look.
This photo shows the table as you come into the dining room from the foyer.

The centerpiece is comprised of some of the pieces I normally have displayed on the server in the dining room. The vase and lidded candy dish were wedding gifts to my parents. I purchased the blown-glass Christmas trees about ten years ago.
The white lace napkins are part of a set that my mother has had for over forty years. I like the soft look of the lace in contrast to the sharp crisp look of the plaid.

The next picture is one of my Christmas gifts from my mother. I had been wanting a heavy pot to go from stovetop to oven, and this is enamel over cast iron. Very ... heavy, but very pretty.
