Pink Saturday - July 24, 2010


Happy Pink Saturday !


This week we have one hundred seventy-three (173) participants in Pink Saturday.  There are five new participants, and you will find them at the bottom of the list.  Let's all take time to welcome them to Pink Saturday.  All participants are listed in the order in which they began participating.

Please take the time to visit other participants, and leave a comment to let them know you stopped by to enjoy their pink.  Pink Saturday is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet others in the blogging community.  I promise you it is worth the effort because you will not only see lots of pink, you will meet incredibly nice and talented people.  Please refer to my post dated January 8 for more information about Pink Saturday.

Remember that my reminder e-mail stated I needed your plan for participating today no later than 8 a.m. EST Friday.  If you don't see your name and link here it is because I did not receive your plan for participating by that time.

Pink Saturday Featured Blogs


Beverly, thank you so very much for the opportunity to share on your blog :)  Up until February of this year, I hadn't taken my blog too seriously.  I'd felt self conscious about "sharing myself" with people, and worried that nobody would be interest in what I had to say.., but right around Valentines day something changed, and I began to see my life in a new light.  I felt compelled to share the beauty and love I experience on a daily basis (when possible).  It is my daily "practice", like a prayer or meditation to seek beauty and love in the small, simple and often overlooked, and share with any friends who wish to drop by and read my blog and look at my images.  I invite you to drop by "A Year Of Finding Love", and look forward to meeting you making new friends.  With love, Neinah


I have only been "blogging" for a few months, and already I am totally loving this new world.  My blog started out as this simple "diary" just for me, but thanks to Beverly and Susan at Between Naps On The Porch, I have started posting pictures of my tablescapes and looking for things that are pink plus so much more!  I live in Kleinmachnow (Berlin) Germany with my husband, our son and our cat, Will.  I guess I have always been a "crafty" person - starting with making colored window pictures to needlepoint.  Of course, scrapbooking has been a big part of my creative side, and I hope soon to be able to use my scrapbooking skills on my blog.  Not only has blogging allowed me to share my world with you, but it also serves as an inspiration to me.  Here's to a long and happy relationship here in cyber space!  Happy Pink Saturday Everyone.


  • Happy Pink Saturday to all you pink gals, and a HUGE thank you to Beverly for featuring my blog this week.  I am a Christian wife and homeschool mom.  Although I live in the 21st century, I am really a mid-20th century kinda gal...I love 40's fashions, 40's music, and 40's movies.  Actually, I am addicted to classic-era movies and even blog about them once a week, with a Friday movie review.  (Truly, Hollywood just doesn't make 'em like they used to.)  I love teacups and teapots...flowers...the colors pink, green, turquoise, and white...picnics...all things Southern...all things feminine...and all things vintage.  I also LOVE being a mom, and despite being in my 40's with teenage children, I am walking the path of adoption.  With the exception of cross-stitch and scrapbooking, I am not particularly crafty...though I wish I was.  I enjoy blogging about family times, my teacup collection, home decorating, thrift store finds, classic movies, and anything else I think would bring a bit of beauty into my day.  I invite you to visit...with the sincere hope that doing so would bring a bit of beauty to your day.

    Beverly, Thank you so much for featuring StoneGable this week, and for being our sweet pink hostess for more than 2 years!  I'm Yvonne, and delighted to be with all Pink Saturday friends!  A joyful wife, mother of 2, Bible teacher, Speaker, blogger of 10 months and international woman of mystery (no, not really~I just threw that in because it sounds so fun!).  My blog, StoneGable, is all about the domestic adventures and antics of daily life!  I have a love and passion for all things that go into making a home.  Decor, cooking, tablescaping, gardening, keeping house, family, friends and living with a grateful and positive attitude!  I am a teacher, so I have a natural inclination to make many things I do into tutorials.  It is my heart's desire that when you visit StoneGable you feel more like a friend than a guest, and that you leave StoneGable uplifted and wanting to visit again soon.

    • My pink contribution for this Pink Saturday is this silhouette of my mother which was made in 1967.  I remember when I was a child, I thought my mother was the most beautiful mother in the world.  And, I still think that.  We are celebrating my mother and her eighty-second birthday.
