We finally received some rain very early Wednesday morning. It wasn't much (less than 1/2"), but it was very welcome. We desperately need rain where we live. We are watering our potted plants, and we are trying to give our roses, shrubs and trees enough water to keep them alive. But, our grass looks awful. This is the first time in the almost forty years we have been married that our grass has looked like this. We are on restricted water use in our area.
It seems like every time rain is in our forecast, that the front splits and goes north and south of us. The farmers and gardeners in our area are struggling with their crops. I know incomes of those that depend on a good crop will be compromised.
