Happy Pink Saturday !

This week I would like to request prayers, visits and comments for Dawn at C&G Designs.  Dawn started participating in Pink Saturday in August 2008.  She has been diagnosed and is being treated for cancer.  Love and prayers to you, Dawn.

A big thank you to Beverly for featuring me on this special Pink Saturday.  I wasn't much of a pink person before I came across Pink Saturday, and now it seems that the pink fairy zaps everything in sight.  LOL  You might say I started my blog because of my love of talking.  LOL  Blogging on Nanna's Place gives me that outlet to share thoughts, dreams, encouragement, family adventures, throw in a recipe from time to time, etc.  And through the years I have met some wonderful people through blogging.  I later opened a second blog, Nanna's Raggedy's-N-Prims, where I share Annies that I'm working on, shows I attend, what's happening in the sewing room and craft tips.  We're courting down 10 days til our first show.  There's Annie's singing, Santa's yelling HO HO HO, reindeer looking for Santa, snowmen melting (cause it's so hot) LOL, gingerbread boys running through the house screaming ya can't catch me!, crows flying and we won't talk about the nakies LOL  So come on over, we'd be glad to see you!

Thank you so much Beverly to feature "Country Wings in Phoenix" on this Pink Saturday.  Me and my signature pink hat.  It's truly an honor for me.  I started my blog over 15 months ago, and it is my journey about moving from a small town in Oklahoma to Phoenix in Arizona, and wanting to make new friends along the way.  How I have grown wings to survive in the BIG city.  I have shared smiles, laughter, tears, birthdays, vacations, memories and many more stories.  Losing my voice this year to an illness has made me realize just how much I love blogging.  Here, I still have a voice.  I invite you to tag along on my journey.  Banana nut bread and tea served promptly at three each Saturday.  Backdoor guests are always best.  Stop on by.  Country hugs and much love, Sherry

We will never forget !

Last Sunday we lost our dear CC of Lace 'n' Ribbon Roses.  If CC ever visited your blog, you instantly loved her.  She had a kind and loving heart, and that showed in every comment she made.  She always touched my heart and made my day.  CC fell and broke her pelvis this past May, and she never regained her good health.  I received an e-mail from her son, Chuck, and her Viking telling me she had gone from them.  Please take the time to stop and say a prayer for our sweet CC and her family she left behind.  Then please link to CC's blog and leave a message for her family.

I feel honored that Beverly has chosen Lines from Linderhof to be a featured blog.  Linderhof's story began 22 years ago when we first moved into the house we named Linderhof.  We have nurtured Linderhof both inside and out, and I enjoy sharing the story of Linderhof.  For the past thirteen years. I have written a weekly column in our local paper about life at Linderhof -- cooking, decorating and gardening.  It always ends with a menu and a recipe.  Two years ago I took the leap to a blog!  It's like my column only shorter but with pictures!  I enjoy being able to share real images of Linderhof through the blog that my newspaper column friends can only imagine.  I enjoy sharing Linderhof through my Lines from Linderhof blog and I hope you come and visit.  Every afternoon that I'm home at half past three, I put the kettle on .....

With deep appreciation I THANK YOU, Beverly, for PINK SATURDAY.  It has brought together many lovely ladies that would never have met otherwise.  I started my blog 18 months ago ... with great hesitation.  I was not sure of where I would want to take my writings and thoughts.  I enjoy writing personal events, perspectives, philosophy and beliefs of and in my life.  Jill at Bailiwick Studio knew my love of "pinks" and she suggested I join Pink Saturday.  I dragged my heels.  Then Sherry at Country Wings In Phoenix encouraged me ... I finally took that baby step.  It has been a very enjoyable journey.  Vintage feed sack fabrics are our specialty.  We have over 3,000 on hand, we sell to several designers all over the world as well as foreign shops that resell vintage fabrics.  I love the feel of the fabric, treasure the darling designs and the thrill of the search for each piece.  My passion in life is putting a smile on a child's face ... I do innumerable fund raisers for children.  Blushing Rose Boutique  Without God, I am nothing ... truly I am blessed.
