This week I am featuring Betty at She's Sew Pretty. Betty first participated in Pink Saturday July 12, 2008, the seventh week of Pink Saturday. Betty has a blog which will make you happy. She collects and displays things that make you happy. Her blog is filled with pretty bright colors. And, her blog has been recognized as a very special sewing blog. Betty can make anything, and everything she makes is beautiful. I wish I could be her neighbor. I would love to go to her house and play with all of her pretties. Take a minute to go meet Betty, and please introduce yourself. You'll be glad you did. Betty has written the following personal message to you.

I joined Beverly's Pink Saturday in July of 2008. If you had asked me before Pink Saturdays if I loved Pink, I probably would have said, "No!". I grew up in a house with four brothers. I know how to throw a baseball and toss a football. I played tackle football with the boys and loved to arm wrestle the strongest boys in school. I always thought of myself as a "tom boy" growing up, but when I think back to my early decorating, I know that I have always been a "pink girl". When I was a preteen, a neighbor painted a pot of pink tulips. I hung it over my bed and painted my walls the exact same pink to match. I can still remember waking up on my ninth birthday and seeing a pink dress hanging on the closet door When I started reading Beverly's blog and her pink Saturday posts, I looked around my house and sure enough I had lots of pink to share. I love collecting vintage and my favorite thing to collect is porcelain. If I spy something with pink roses at the thrift stores or at an estate sale it is sure to come home with me! I've discovered that pink doesn't make me less of a "tom boy", it just makes me who I am-a pink girlie girl who just happens to love getting dirty too!
My pink contribution for today is this pink glitter makeup case. Isn't it the cutest? I purchased it at Target. Actally, it was my sweet husband that spotted it. And, after all, we all need a bit of bling.
I keep it on the desk in my home office/studio. In fact, I am looking at it as I type. It holds very important small things - nail file, nail clippers, twizzers, hand cream, mints, throat lozenges ...
So hurry on over to Target if you think you can't live without one. It comes in a pretty teal blue, too.
I had a surgical procedure done Friday. I will visit you when I can.
