Hi Bev!
I'm raising the money to finance my expansion into independent publishing. Everything is in place and we have a wonderful debut picture book and study guide that will be the first thing off the presses - with four more projects to follow in 2015 as we have provision - may need another funding campaign.
Moving into publishing has been years in the making and until I stepped out in faith and went to a writers conference in July where I met some publishers who saw the potential of my work and skill set. They are mentoring me to become a peer professional and I'm on the threshold of realizing my dream career - but for the funding. Ain't it always the way?
So thankful for the crowdfunding tool that has come about in the last 5 years - making it possible to launch the works of writers, artists, inventors, and innovative small businesses through the contribution donor support of people interested in the project.
This is the biggest thing I have ever done. God has made the way plain and I must trust that I'll have the first picture book in hand by the beginning of December - and more than meet our financial goal by the closing campaign date of Oct. 23 - it launched Thursday.
