I realize that I am late posting our Thanksgiving tablescape,
but I am going with the better late than never philosophy.
Nothing new for our table this year, just familiar and well-loved.
Tablecloth and napkins rings purchased years ago at Bed, Bath and Beyond, and
runner and napkins also many years ago at Home Goods.
I filled our antique dough bowl with faux gourds
painted a cream color from my hobby paint collection.
My "every day" white dishes that I chose when we got married 45 years ago,
my go to favorite chargers from Pier One,
and my mother's wedding sterling flatware.
The white quail have been a part of our home since I was in my teens.
Thanksgiving is one of my very favorite holidays.
This year there were six of us: my husband and I, my mother,
our son and grandson
and a very special guest.
We gave thanks, enjoyed our holiday fare, played games and shared love and laughter.
