Nancy at Vintage Papers is someone I have considered a dear friends for many years.  We met at Two Peas In A Bucket, and we are both members of the Old Timers message board.  Nancy is a gifted mixed media artist, and as her blog name indicates she is a lover of vintage art.

I proudly call Nancy a friend.  She inspires all of us with her eye for beauty and her open and giving heart.  Thank you, Nancy.  My prayer for you is joy and love in your life.

And, those two sweet ladies at Ask Kari & Kijsa presented me with their Designing for Life award.  Oh my goodness!  Thank you very much.  I consider this an honor coming from two ladies that inspire us daily with their kindness and creativity.

I love blogging, and each of you inspire me daily with your kindness, concern for others, your love of beauty and your love for God.  I only hope that in some small way I can give back what you each so freely share.  Thank you to all of my readers.

Faith at Grandma Faith presented me with this wonderful award.  This award really means a lot to me because I feel it is so important to take the time to leave a comment when you visit a blog.  My comments are usually what you would describe as short and succinct, but I always try to at least say hello.  I would like to take time to chat a bit longer, but I work full-time - and it is hard to get around and say hi to everyone that I would like.

I met Faith through Pink Saturday, and she is just a sweetheart.  Please take the time to visit her blog, and to get to know her.  She is a person with a good heart, and a love for life that she openly shares with her readers.

BJ at Sweet Nothings gave me the Loveable Blog award.  She had no way of knowing it, but that little girl actually favors me when I was that age.  I had long brown hair, and I (of course) liked to wear pink.

BJ is one of the first people that visited me when I re-opened my blog, and she is my designated Queen of Blogging.  She is a lady that always, always thinks of others first.  She goes out of her way to meet and introduce new bloggers.  She was my inspiration for The Rooster Parade, and she still asks to make sure I finally got all of the feathers out of our house.

My thanks to Faith and BJ for thinking of me, and for presenting me these awards.  It is because of people like you that I love blogging.  Your kindness and warm spirits inspire me.

I sincerely want to share these awards.  Both awards remind me of Pink Saturday - one because it is pink, and the other because of those of you who are Super Commenters to everyone that participates on Pink Saturday.  You know who you are, and I want you to take these awards that I am giving with an open heart.  You take the time from your days to leave the participants a comment, and I know that each person really appreciates your kindness.

Sweet Gabriela

• Susan at Suzie Button Creations - Well, how could you not love something by the name of Suzie Button?  Susan's blog is so pretty, and it is filled with pretty things.  This sweet lady collects wedding cake toppers.  I love that!
• Marianne at Lil Bits of Me - I feel as if I have known Marianne forever.  We met on Two Peas in a Bucket many years ago.  And, Marianne is the queen of word games.  How fun!

Patricia at The Unfinished Flower presented me the Javablu Award.  Thank you so much, Patricia.  I am so glad you thought of sharing this with me.  Patricia is a mixed-media artist, and her blog is filled with beautiful things she creates.  She frequently works with vintage images, and they are wonderful.

Yea!  It's Thursday, and that means only one more day until Friday.  I am really looking forward to this holiday weekend.

Do You Feel The Love?

Our very special and thoughtful Pat at Mille Fiori Favoriti gave me the "Tree Of Happiness" award.  This award translates to the following: "You have just received the tree of happiness. 1. I am happy to be past my working Monday.  Mondays are not my favorite day at work, so I am always glad that I survived.  Ha!!!
2. As I am preparing this post, I am gazing out my window which looks over our rose garden.  We had some much needed rain this weekend, and everything looks so refreshed.
3. I can also see quite a few hummingbirds around our feeder.  They make me laugh chasing each other away.
4. I feeling kind of hungry, and I'm very glad that I have leftovers for tonight.  No cooking for me tonight.
5. I am grateful that my blogging friends are kind and giving by sharing awards with each other.
6. I am happy knowing my family is safe and healthy.

Monday, Monday

Christie at Somewhere in Time has honored me with The Smile Award.  Thank you so much, Christie.  I met Christie through Pink Saturday, and she is such a lovely person.  Please go over and say hello to Christie.  My favorite thing about this award is the reference to F.R.O.G. - Forever Rely on God.

My Friend Gave Me An Award

My friend recently visited the area where I live, and we only were able to see each other for a very short time.  I know it may seem strange, but seeing her really only made me miss her more.

We speak on the phone every day, so it probably does seem strange.  But, you know how it is with a friend that is special.  I miss the many times we have shared laughing and just being together.  They are treasured memories.  I know that she knows I will always be here for her.

So my special friend, Jeanne at Backyard Neighbor, gave me an award yesterday on her blog.  The award is Blogging Friends Forever, and I think it is fairly safe after thirty-eight years that we are friends forever.

I'm sure you all have figured out by now that I am just not very good at singling out someone for awards.  I mean just the name Blogging Friends Forever is kind of intimidating.  You are all my blogging friends, so if your blog is on my blog list, or if you are a Pink Saturday participant, please take this award.  And, please know that it is given with an open heart.
