Happy Pink Saturday !
Today our theme is
Serving Up Autumn.
You are welcome to share your
Autumn Treats and/or Pink.
Today I am Serving Up Autumn
with my
Pumpkin Soup.

Two
shallots
Two
pounds ground Italian sausage
One
32 ounce box chicken broth
Two
16 ounce cans pureed pumpkin
One
pound sliced fresh mushrooms, sauteed
Two
14.5 ounce cans diced potatoes
One
quart heavy cream (or half and half if you prefer)
Finely
chop two shallots and cook in two tablespoons olive oil until translucent. Add in two pounds ground Italian sausage and
brown. Stir in two cans pureed pumpkin
and two cans diced potatoes. Add 32
ounce box of chicken broth, one pound sliced mushrooms and salt and pepper to
taste. Cook on low about 45 minutes to
meld flavors. Stir in one quart of heavy
cream prior to serving.
Note: I always end up adding in a bit more chicken broth to get a consistency I like. And, I also like adding just a bit of grated nutmeg.

Pink Saturday Featured Blog
Jill at Bella Rosa Antiques
Hello!
My name is Jill, otherwise known on my blog as Jillian. I’d like to
thank Beverly for featuring me this weekend on Pink Saturday.
What a treat to be highlighted with so many other amazing gals. You will often see me referring to us as “Pinkies.”
I
have been a participant since the first year I do believe and have
loved the color pink since my early years as a ballet dancer.
My blog is connected to my online shop, Bella Rosa Antiques. Link:
I’ve been selling since 1999, even while I was working in local television as a producer.
I’ve been married for eight years to my sweet hubby who also loves antiques. We love going to look for them.
He is the hunter and I am the gatherer, so to speak.
Most of the items in my shop are my finds although he likes to brag when something sells that he found!
What
will you find in my store? Anything from Victorian china to French
hankies to antique books and ephemera, but each week is always unique.
My blog posts are not always about vintage finds, however.
This week I’m sharing how my sweet four year old and I built a teddy bear. Can you guess what color she was?

Have a blessed Pink Saturday!
